I really like seeing the live version as it shows who is doing what parts. Tim & Chance are doing the really low notes in the beginning. Chance has his guitar & Austin is playing a mandolin. And Adam is holding down the percussion sounds & I think he is saying Skull & Bones too. Wish it was the longer version of the song. These guys are so supportive of each other's talents & projects.

I'm not a gamer but I love this song so much! This live performance is just fantastic. During the premier they said they would be releasing a live action video later this year and I really cannot wait to see that. Yo ho fellow pirates ☠️ 😊

Wow, what a fantastic song this is. I see images of the old days where the pirates all sang together on their ship. So incredible performance. This is so very cool! A totally different sound but again so great. I would like Chance to write more often for Home Free. Home Free can just sing anything. Chance with his perfect low voice for this, Tim's slightly lower voice that goes so well with Chance's. Adam who also contributes to the bass, but also shows the undisputed beatboxer / vocal percussionist / vocal artist. Austin who also plays a musical part but then gets into it vocally with his powerful voice. And then Rob who clearly shows his rich opera voice here. And then that harmony that sounds so beautiful.

Adam did mention in the live chat for the lyrics video that the audience was very into it, clapping along and singing the chorus. The sound engineer made sure that noise wasn’t heard in the livestream, so it sounds like at the end maybe they weren’t clapping by right away but they really were. This song will create a bunch of new gamer Home Fries!! Thanks for the double reaction Lyle, so fun!

This is beyond amazing!! love this. Gee I just emailed my son about this. (we saw Home Free last Dec) Maybe he and my grandsons will like this game. yep they are gamers. I am so impressed with the song. Chance did a fantastic job and the performance....🤯 (per usual). But one thing really stood out to me in this live performance. At around 3:30, the camera is zoomed in on Chance's face. Watch as the expression of pure happiness shines through. I felt a tremendous amount of emotion when I saw it. This is totally epic for him!!!!

Not a gamer, don't foresee a day when I would be, but am thrilled with what this represents for Home Free. Have lost count as to how many times I've listened. Will say that I prefer this version for its authenticity and rawness. Wish it were a bit longer. The rumbling bass at the outset, and Rob bringing his very rich 'operatic' vocals. The listener gets drawn in by the intensity. This is five talented guys in a coastal pub, looooong ago, entertaining the local seamen, everyone joining in on the rousing chorus. The Official Lyric Video production is also amazing. Longer, very robust, engaging as it swells. Things to appreciate about both. (Now we just need a video from HF in their pirate-y duds.) Especially proud of Chance and his role in bringing this to life for so many to enjoy. Hope this brings the guys some well-deserved attention, a new audience.

This is miles better than the official video, mainly because the official one to me sounds over-produced with multiple tracking until the individual voices in the chorus get lost. This one was electric with Adam Chance seizing the song and shaking the bejasus out of it, and the tenors sounding fantastic despite the heavy bass loading of the song. Who knew that Austin played - was that a mandolin? We knew he played guitar but it's not his instrument of choice or the one he uses to compose on. Anyone seeing this live performance will be in no doubt that Home Free are no longer a covers band or even a country band but can produce amazing noises. Personally I don't mind the instruments though some will probably object. But Chance wasn't trying to write an a capella song, but a full suite of sound, and the instruments are part of it, like the resonant piano at the start of Save the World.

I don't mind the instruments either. Some Songs just need them or they make the song more complete. Like when they did Born in the USA, they could have left out the guitar and it would have been great but it just had to be there, for me, and made it even better imo

When they sang Ring of Fire on the Sing Off, Tim went deeper on that last note than when they did the video with Avi Kaplan. Both versions are absolutely fantastic. Loved both of your reactions.

THIS IS HUGE!!!! I was so excited when I found this live performance! I agree with you, I think they sound even better live! I've been watching the lyrics version since yesterday when it was released, now with this version I'm going to tape my headset to my head and play it on repeat. I don't think I've ever been so excited for any group as I am for them with this release! ❤❤❤❤❤ They so deserve it!!!!!

It's an original written by Adam Chance. The bass is just crazy, the harmonies, beatboxing & singing just terrific. And when did Austin take up playing mandolin?? the graphics of the game that I've seen on the 'lyric only' videos look terrific; however, as always the live performance is even better than the recording! I've never been a gamer and have never heard of the game but I love the song!

Rob sounds amazing in that chorus! A lot of people have said the same - this is very different for HF, but so good. Love the guys for supporting Chance in this. Chance's face though - this is what he was born to do! And that bass overtone from Rupp is quite something.

Loved Chance’s lead singing lower than we’re accustomed to hearing. Then Tim blew it out the water with the notes at the left end of the piano, or lower. I haven’t checked yet. Lol Rob’s voice really stood out when he came into the chorus. It is phenomenal! So happy for Chance and Home Free! They really knocked it out the park (again)! I do agree that even though the soundtrack is amazing, the live version is better. I think live is almost always better than a recorded version. Love seeing these guys live!

I’m chatty today but, whatever…I was looking for reaction videos for this this afternoon and it blew some guy’s mind. He was reacting to the game and suddenly yelled, “That’s Home Free!!” He said he reacted to HF for music but was so shocked to see them performing. I am so proud of Chance-like he’s my own son! The guys were beyond amazing!

I like this version SO much better that the lyric video. The voices here are so much more dynamic. You can really pick out Rob and Austin and they add tremendously to the overall punch of the song. Adam’s percussion here is stellar…makes me wonder how much he was involved in the final release. I think I’m gonna snag the audio off the live version and see if I can make it playlist worthy…

That was beyond good, it was spectacular !!!! It blows my mind that Yes, this sounds better than the recorded version. But the first time I saw them live I knew that when they perform live they have the talent to put it in overdrive !!! They are my all time favorite music group and I have listened to alot of music in my 75 years. Chance did a fabulous writing job on this song and I have a feeling it will do great things, and with Home Free performing it, WOW.

I'm late in watching this but wanted to just make a comment that if you watch Adam Rupp carefully that he's the one doing the echo of "Skull & Bones".
