Chance wrote this one and the live performance is sooo good! Tim's bass, Chance's lead, the beatboxing and harmonies are all perfect. And when did Austin take up playing mandolin?? By the way, Austin has a new one on his channel "Hers Ain't Mine" (audio only). The song is terrific and Tim''s bass rattles your bones.

I really like seeing the live version as it shows who is doing what parts. Tim & Chance are doing the really low notes in the beginning. Chance has his guitar & Austin is playing a mandolin. And Adam is holding down the percussion sounds. Wish it was the longer version of the song. These guys are so supportive of each other's talents & projects.

This is so very cool! A totally different sound but again so great. I would like Chance to write more often for Home Free. Home Free can just sing anything. Chance with his perfect low voice for this, Tim's slightly lower voice that goes so well with Chance's. Adam who also contributes to the bass, but also shows the undisputed beatboxer / vocal percussionist / vocal artist. Austin who also plays a musical part but then gets into it vocally with his powerful voice. Then Rob who clearly shows his rich opera voice here. And then that harmony that sounds so good and beautiful What you say: you can see Tim's pride in his eyes. That's one of the reasons I'm drawn to Home Free: the brotherhood of these 5.

Love this life version, too! It's fun to see Chance and Austin with real instruments, and Chance's songwriting has reached a new level -- right up the alley of what he loves. According the evidence on my suggestions page, KZbin is blowing up over so many reactors, and many of them new to me! Those gamers that heard that Yo ho will be tuning in to HF now that they've had a taste of really great music! Love your reaction, too!

Hi Dennis! This one blew me away as well!! Chance did an unbelievable job writing this, and their performance is unreal (as usual). A couple of things I noticed.....Rupp is the one doing the "SKULL AND BONES" in the background. The look of pure happiness on Chance's face I noticed around 3:30, just gave me all the feels. This is so awesome for him. Last, but not least, this just opened up the door for millions of new fans. They can do ANYTHING!!!!

Have a preference for how authentic this feels with the more rumbly base, at the outset, Rob adding his rich operatic vocals as the song swells. Wish it were longer but proof of the power Home Free has when they really want to ramp it up. Showcases their versatility. Much to appreciate about the Official Lyric Video version, as well. Second time, in less than a week, feeling like a proud parent. (Another channel I support was finally able to release their long-awaited documentary.) Major props to Chance...and the rest of the guys. What an amazing, and hopefully, fortuitous opportunity.

I had always hoped for HF do a cover of a song from a Video Game (RDR, RDR2, etc), but for them to actually be the creator/writer of a song FOR A GAME, I am lost for words! The thought of HF shanty used for a game, it's a great honor for HF. I remember Chance mentioned he loves sea shanties, and for him to write "Skull and Bones", I feel so proud for him! Looking forward to see them perform in GOTY 2023

This is the best song they have done. Chance!!!!!! He wrote this. It's fantastic!!!!! Love his bass. Incredible. He has an incredible voice. Plus he got that low notes. Then you have Tim going beyond the depths of hell. The harmonies are absolutely fantastic. These guys are the best out there.

I dig it too. I hope the game does well. I’m not sure about the audience reaction. The gamer guys online wanted to see game play, not a song. They’ve been waiting for this game forever. Sadly, when it was tested years ago, it did not do well (lots of bugs). The only reason Ubisoft continued to work on it and release it is because they got tax breaks (and possibly loans) from the Singapore government and the company would have to pay $$$$ to the government if they don't release it. Gamers were really excited for the game, but 5 years was a long time to wait.
