Home Free doesn't usually take themselves too seriously, they are entertainers for sure. A big catalog of music to choose from and I see that others have recommended Helplessly Hoping. I will add to the count, its my favorite.

It's probably a huge compliment to both Adam and Tim to be unnoticed as they are trying to mimic percussion and bass instruments. That's what makes people debate (passionately at times) when they believe there are instruments when there isn't. They are all so good!
@DanFromHali
@DanFromHali 3 жыл бұрын
Exactly. The whole point, is for it to sound natural. There are definitely times where I think some of the better a capella groups have added in some instruments, but just like reverb and what not can do wonders for vocals on a produced track, similar can be done for beatbox. I was actually curious about this, so I sought out live versions of a couple songs that I've already reacted to and they even better live, or maybe its just that you can tell that its not just a matter of production. Regardless, they are a great group.

So I put this in the description, but for visibility sake, I made a boo boo. Somehow I must have double pressed on my stream deck, and didn't notice until I was editing it. It had been requested a few times, and I wanted to get it up here... but I also wanted it to be a genuine first reaction. I wouldn't have felt right about redoing it, and maybe giving a sub par reaction, because I had already watched it. I will make it up to you in the future!

In their concerts, usually, Adam has a 10 to 15-minute segment while the others take a break and he shows his beatbox skills. I don't know how he does it for the whole 2-hour concert, but he usually doesn't take a break and I imagine he probably can't feel his face by the end of the concert.

Haha this is so funny. The boys do feed off each other but it’s kinda hard to feed off each other during Covid with the group’s songs over this last year, and yet they do a great job harmonizing while recording separately. They’ve really produced pretty good songs during the pandemic. Maybe try Quarantine, Folsom Prison Blues. Loved this one. They have other medleys too. I do love Sunday Best with them at home with their spouses and animals. Good reaction.

I suggest you find Adam Rupp Solo and watch just what he can do in other realms that are not always in the videos. Oh that was perfect, even with the missing video in the first half. :D This was great to wake up to this morning, I've been having a bit of a rough time so your laughter really picked me up and I'm so glad you loved it! :D Yep, Queen is awesome and I loved that they put Fat Bottom Girls in this, such a great song. You should really check out Adam Rupp doing a drum solo live on tour! I would suggest doing a couple one from 2015 then a newer one from 2018 to see his progression. Plus he's been using the lockdown to practice new tricks, such as the castanets in Sea Shanty medley. Peace, love and light to all, keep safe, stay strong, we'll all get through this together.

Home Free tries to give all the members a chance to shine ! It sets them apart from the other groups in my opinion. Yes Rob & Adam shined in this one.
@DanFromHali
@DanFromHali 3 жыл бұрын
Yup. Part of what I was talking about on my first Ring of Fire video. Some groups compliment each other, where the groups simply build off of the skills of all of the other members of the group. Others, complete each other, where they have central soloists that often don't feel complete without the voices from the rest of the group. Those others aren't bad, and can still be great. It's just a different group composition. And you hit it on the head, they do get set apart.

One thing most people don't notice is that Tim takes over beatboxing during Adam's record scratch solo, and was spitting all over Rob while he did it (for comedic effect). I think Chris Rupp took over bass at that point too. All five of the guys are competent beatboxers and can do it... Adam is the king though. Heh

Hi, Dan! I have been enjoying your Home Free reactions very much! I don’t know if you noticed, but only one person I’ve chatted with on another reactor’s channel, has ever noticed Tim’s headbanging on “Fat Bottom Girl”! I don’t know how anyone can miss all of that hair flying around! lol Rob missed his calling at being a rapper! He’s got the voice for it! He’s also an excellent whistler! That was him in the beginning! You saw the guy in the overalls! That’s Buegs! He’s a really good friend of Rob’s! You should definitely check out one of Adam’s beatboxing solo from their more recent live shows (from 2018 or 2019). Also, I have a really good song suggestion for you. I don’t know if anyone has suggested yet. I think you’ve seen enough videos to get a feel for their voices and ranges. Check out their cover of “Mayday”. Pay close attention at the beginning when Tim sings.

I want to wait a little bit more and get a few more songs in with Chance before I do Mayday, as some of the others have mentioned. A lot of what had been requested, has been a bit older, or songs where chance doesn't get much time to tickle my eardrums. It is 100% coming though.
