The love of Austin's life was behind the camera & he was singing directly to her. If that doesn't give him passion, nothing will!!! 😍 🥰 😘

Austin sang the crap out of "When a Man Loves a Woman"! You can tell, he sang that straight from the heart, without filter or restraint!

Don McLean approached HF to collaborate on the remake of “American Pie”-he heard about how good Home Free was from Lee Greenwood. This was done to commentate the 50th anniversary of the song. The video was released on the 62nd anniversary of “the day the music died”-February 3, 1959!

He had his girlfriend sitting there in front of him while he was singing. So, he had some built-in passion bubbling over!!!

Austin really belted that song, and filled it with feeling. Adam was again great on his percussions, and the others were great on backup without being overpowering. Doing American Pie with Don McLean was outstanding. Tim was singing from the basement. Both songs were outstanding!

Best male reaction video I've seen, on "When a Man Loves a Woman". Period. Have to head out, I'll be back for the Don McLean classic.

You didn’t put too much into the reaction Mike…just right I’d say. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Home Free performance that they weren’t giving everything they had. Isn’t that what gives music that “It” factor…emotion, passion that draws you right in or sends you right back to a time in your life. That’s part, I think, that makes HF great along with amazing talent, personality, etc.

Wow! Great reaction! I loved When a Man Loves a Woman...you are right. Austin sang from the heart and his experiences.. he has gone through hearrbreak and the woman he loves, Amberly, was in the room as he sang. She is bringing out some of the best work he has done and has been a part of helping him throughout quarantine. and American Pie was beautiful...it is long, that's for sure! I love how Home Free has teamed up with legends and how appreciative they are of the honor. ❤

Thank you for this reaction. Found your channel recently and it's already one of my favorites. I love watching reactions to the amazing music I grew up with. I was born in 1969 and grew up in the greatest time for music. 70s and 80s. You and the reactions bring me to a wonderful time in my life with wonderful memories. The past few months have been hard and you make me smile and forget my pain, even if for a few moments. It's been 10 years since young onset Parkinson's came in and changed my life completely. I'm am going to have a surgery to slow and prayerfully stop the symptoms that are getting worse. It's called deep brain stimulation. They will implant roughly 32 wires deep in my brain and connect it to a pacemaker like device in my chest. I will have a remote control to turn it on and off every day. Thank you for helping me escape and being there to enjoy life and forget the pain for even a short time. May God Bless You and Keep You. Cause His Face to Some on you and give you Peace. Thank you! ❤️🙏

You said it was a little long, and I agree. However, 50 years ago, Don Mclean realeased this song in two versions; one was seven minutes (like this), the other was about three minutes. The shorter one was for radio stations to play - if they preferred (or if the DJ didn't need a bathroom break).
@reginaminton11354 жыл бұрын
I really like the rendition Home Free brought to the table with this song. Don McLean did a great job. I have heard this song when Don first put it out and I like this better than back in the day. This was the song Don wanted for the end of a concert because it was so long. Anyway, Thank you so much for your reaction, always appreciated.

Two of the most iconic songs ever recorded anywhere in the world in my opinion. Percy Sledge played almost every day in my home growing up as a kid. And American Pie I can remeber just about anywhere you went you would hear someone singing it. Great Reaction as always Syde stay safe ❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️

When American Pie started and Chance started singing (first off all, chills at the harmony) I remember thinking "oh they just used Mr. McLean as a feature solo". I was so glad he was SO active in this remake. And yes it is long, but this one did a really good job of changing tempo when the mood of the lyrics changes. I'm glad they continue finding interesting ways to blend with well known, well loved voices. And SO GLAD YOU ARE BACK!

The album version was 8:33 long. They played the shorter version on the radio. I love me some Home Free! I could listen to them all day! Those harmonies are so spot on! Don sounded pretty darned good for being 75! I loved your reactions to both, but preferred your appreciation more for the first one! Austin sang his face off! The guys gave amazing support! Heartbreak is not too far in Austin's rearview mirror because it was in 2019 that he released Love Me Like That, after the end of a five-year relationship. And he asked his current girlfriend to be in the studio as he recorded this one, so I guess he was singing to her and also singing from experience. I like a thoughtful, honest reaction!

First about When a Man Loves a Woman, because I see it differently. When we love someone with the depth of our heart and soul there truly is nothing wrong because the heart and soul only hold unconditional love. Anything else is from our minds which truly doesn't have skill or functionality to know right from wrong, it simply beliefs what we tell it to believe. Unconditional love is what Austin is telling the story of. His girlfriend was right there with him during the filming and he sings with his soul to to her soul. Just as it should be.
