Home Free's version of this song is stunning. I don't celebrate the holidays, but because of HF's cover, I love this song. People might want read up on the story behind "Do You Hear What I Hear?" For starters: "Many people mistakenly assume this Christmas classic has been around for years and that it is of European origin. But it was written in 1962 during the Cuban Missile Crisis as a powerful plea for peace by a man who had experienced the horrors of war." (French-born Noel Regney). He once told an interviewer - “I am amazed that people can think they know the song and not know it is a prayer for peace... But we are so bombarded by sounds and our attention spans are so short.“ You'll notice there are no direct references to Jesus, Mary, God, etc. Instead it speaks in more general, human terms and the discrepancies between the rich and the poor.

You need to check out the seasonal song Do You Hear What I Hear?, arranged by the beat boxer Adam Rupp. It is ear candy and there is a lot going on in the background so you need to wear HEADPHONES. It is fantastic and the video setting is pretty COOL too.

Percy Sledge wrote and performed this in the 60's and had a huge hit with it. You should check out Austin singing Bring Him Home from Les Miserables. Have tissues... you'll need them. It's powerful and emotional. You will not believe the ending. BTW, Austin is a lyric tenor so he can sing all the way up into countertenor. That's not falsetto for him! That's his head voice. Also check out Home Free singing Delta Dawn. Killer!

YES!!! 100% MORE HOME FREE!! These guys are sooo amazingly talented and have a HUGE catalog with over 200 videos, as well as a huge following. If you react to them, the Home Fries will come...en masse. They are so humorous and down to Earth. Also, they don't do covers, they do upgrades, as well as originals of their own. If you wanna check out some of their original stuff, I would recommend their Stargazer Trilogy (Give Me A Sign, Stargazer Lilies, and MR) as a nice place to start. The original artist on this song was Percy Sledge I think, with Michael Bolton doing a cover.
