Home Free's version of this song is stunning. I don't celebrate the holidays, but because of HF's cover, I love this song. People might want read up on the story behind "Do You Hear What I Hear?" For starters: "Many people mistakenly assume this Christmas classic has been around for years and that it is of European origin. But it was written in 1962 during the Cuban Missile Crisis as a powerful plea for peace by a man who had experienced the horrors of war." (French-born Noel Regney). He once told an interviewer - “I am amazed that people can think they know the song and not know it is a prayer for peace... But we are so bombarded by sounds and our attention spans are so short.“ You'll notice there are no direct references to Jesus, Mary, God, etc. Instead it speaks in more general, human terms and the discrepancies between the rich and the poor.

Percy Sledge was the first person I have ever heard do this song which I'm sure had other cover but Michael Bolton was very good but Home Free is the best, and to think this was done during the Covid 19 Lockdown with all the others filming their parts from their home studios witch the created so they could put out Video to keep us Home Fries entertained. Austin was in a regular studio with his woman Amberly (now his wife) that is why those looks and the sparkle in his eyes. The look that makes every woman feel like he is singing it for them

It means the same to me. I want traditional love. Not all of us are twisted. My husband of 16 years has cancer and it is the hardest thing to see but I still love him with all my heart. I take him to all his treatments and have taken on his things he did around the house as well as what I have to do. I love him in sickness and when he was healthy , it's definitely for poorer with cancer bills, till death us do part.
