Home Free has been my favorite singers by far for a while now. I would suggest some of their other songs like, Mayday, Elvira (a colab with the original artist), Ring of Fire, Sea Shanty Melody. Also the "Bass" singer Tim Foust I would check his solo stuff out (any of these guys solo stuff really) but defintely Tim singing will you still love me tomorrow/stay. You guys are awesome please keep it up with great reactions.

Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. Drummers have often commented on just how realistic his sound is. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.

Yes, Austin nailed it. He gives himself completely here and also plays very well with the cameras. The great harmonies, deep bass and the unbelievably freaking good beatboxing/vocal percussion/vocal sounds finish it all off for me. I think it sounds perfect because of all the different beautiful voices. I grew up performing Percy Sledge which I already loved. Then came Michael Bolton's performance where I couldn't say it was better. But this one from Home Free certainly is.

The original was by the late Percy Sledge in 1966. By the way, Austin Brown (lead singer on this) ,Tim Foust (bass) and Adam Chance (baritone/bass) are also song writers and have originals with both Home Free and on their own channels. Keep falling down the rabbit hole - they sing everything from gospel to goofy. Austin & Rob Lundquist (beard and glasses) even have a duet of the opera aria "Nessun Dorma" on Austin's channel - it's mind-blowing.

That is Mr Austin Brown, considered by many to be one of the best vocalists out there right now. He is high tenor for Home Free but has his solo channel with LOTS of solo works. He's been writing a lot of original songs lately too. If you think you hear a southern twang, you're right. He's from Tifton Georgia. He'll be 37 soon and is in a very committed relationship with the gorgeous Amberly Hall. Guess that's enough on him right now. He has remarkable vocal skills. ALL of them do. Subbed for Home Free.

Two other great numbers you might like of theirs are Blue Ain't Your Color and their cover of the Doobie Brothers Listen to the Music. Two different styles that they are so great at. A few people here have mentioned that the other four are recording from their homes while Austin is in the studio with whose ever on the sound board and his lovely lady Amberly. To see the lady that has all his attention check out Austin Brown's Take the Night Off and Home Free's video for the song Brother. It's sweet to see the love between them and hilarious to see her beat the crap out of him in the second video, and then hold the water bottle for him afterward.

I have seen this more times than I can count and I STILL get wrapped up in Austin's vocals and have to step back and truly admire the background vocals and Adam's beatboxing. They are, as usual, fantastic, too. Austin can both belt AND control his voice at those high notes. Not a lot of singers have that ability. And, yes, this was recorded in a studio where he was most likely standing at the mic, he is totally able to sing like this while seated - many videos by spectators at performances will attest to that. Welcome to the HF rabbit hole - enjoy the 160+ official videos and the many others like the Church Sessions and some on Peter Hollens' channel.

Sledge: made it soulful and sexy; Bolton: made the story a tragedy; Brown: made it a wonderful thing to be loved by a man! Not to mention that Bolton had a back-up orchestra complete with violins (if I recall). while Austin and Home Free just simply delivered it with their fabulous harmonies. In the end (and I've lived through all 3 version), this one is my favorite.

This was a soul song from Percy Sledge's 60's hit done in Percy's style. They also do Love Train, which is probably more MoTown than soul. They do some 70's folk rock such as Listen To The Music and Don Mclean's 50 year remake of American Pie. Plus some semi-country pop like John Denver's Take Me Home Country Roads. And a Dire Straits song, Brothers In Arms, which is deep, full and solemn. Don't miss "Never Gonna Give You Up" if you like some fun 80's pop/rock. Also some indie pop/rock like Ed Sheeran's "Castle On The Hill". They do a bunch of old and new country songs, such as Patsy Cline's "Crazy", Foy Vance's "Moonshine" and Garth Brooks' "Ain't Goin' Down". The trick is that they have 4 strong lead voices available in a number of voice textures and ranges and a group that can back up just about anything that doesn't need heavy guitar and piano/keyboard work and even then, maybe.

Thank you for sharing your reactions. They have such a huge catalog and cover various genre, so you will not be disappointed. I suggest their cover of the O'Jays - Love Train, Boyz II Men - End of the Road, Trace Adkins - I Can't Outrun You, John Denver - Country Roads and so many more. Lately they have been releasing their own music and those are fabulous too. Enjoy!

Another good one they did during the pandemic and is called Sea Shanty Medley. They recorded each part separately but it blends beautifully.

Check out their cover of End of the road. It's amazing. Boyz to men's end of the road song is almost impossible to cover and they nailed it.

His girlfriend was on the set when this was recorded, so he had a little extra inspiration.

Hold off on Mayday by Cam until you are familiar with each member and what they sing. Mayday is full of surprises that gets overlooked if you react to it to soon

It's definitely worth the wait! Since Cam isn't well-known, it's not a bad idea to listen to her original performance ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4PVdIB7jbWdjdE ) as preparation for listening to HF's cover. Listening to Cam and HF separately, you don't notice that HF performs it in exactly the same key that she did! (They did the same thing with "Crazy.")
