Wilson's actor, Earl Hindman, was also the voice that narrated the Disneyland Railroad and Walt Disney World Railroad. His voice is no longer heard, sadly. He was replaced by Corey Burton on the Walt Disney World Railroad in 2011, and Bob Joles on the Disneyland Railroad in 2017.

So, I forget who it was, but the reason they never show Wilson's face, was because someone on the show, I want to say Tim but I can't remember, visited and was close with his neighbor in real life this way as a kid, and whenever he'd go ask him a question, he could never see over the face, therefore.. the reason behind him always being blocked by a part of the fence.
