Is there a reason to use the silicone (around 5 minutes) vs something like spray foam filler for gaps? Just asking because I already bought a lot of sprayfoam; wanting to make sure I do it right. Awesome videos, thank you so much.

@@Playlist4213 spray foam is expensive but awesome. The silicone is easier to control the amount and get it where you want it. It also won’t interfere with the batt insulation. I’m not against foam but this is my preferred method.

While I was thinking about it last night before you replied, I figured that might be the reason -- that some cutting might be involved to fit everything perfectly, so caulk would be easier. I'll go with a bit of both since I have some bigger spaces, too. Thank you so much! Definitely following your channel.
