HOME MADE CONDUIT BENDER

Need to make a bend in some conduit? Well here's a video on how to do it with a piece of 2x4. No need to spend money on a bender or those pricey little pieces of pre-bent conduit.

u go home depot,select your pipe sizes.bend it before you scan it from the machine, that machine wouldn't ask why your conduit is bended.

Tried it today. Two "box bends" with 3/4" EMT. Worked great! Easy and quick. Thanks for making the video. Saved me a trip to the store and wasting $$$ on a bender that I didn't need. Thanks for sharing.

This worked perfectly to bend 1/2 EMT conduit. I think the "secret" is in adding the sand to the tubing prior to bending. Use of the 2 x 4 was a great idea. Thanks for taking the time to share this video!

My husband says rock salt works to prevent kinks, add first, plug ends. Clamp the bender to post

Same here, a 1" bender runs about $90.00. Cannot justify that for four bends.

Thanks very much, great idea! I had an old pipe bender that broke and didn't want to go out and buy a new one, as I rarely use it. This should work a charm, as I only have one or two conduits to bend.

Running 1" EMT in my garage, going to give your method a try; I only have 4 bends to make. I bought the pre-bent pipe, but if a little bit of extra effort can save me some dollars I will give it a go. Thanks for sharing.
