Wow, that Vintage Engine and Starter worked great, and that Amazing Goop made it simple and sweet..!

Thanks Bud. Yep, I wouldn't have been able to do it without Goop, as I can really count on that stuff.

Receiving a vintage Small Engine nitro helicopter required a small engine starter, so I decided to build my own. Let's see if it works and how I did it.Thanks for watching and please subscribe to see what is next.

Great vid love a cox engine ive just purchased a thunder tiger 12v high torque starter, what battery do u recommended for it ,i have a 12 v 2.2 amp batt but it seamed to runn out quick its new ,i never charger it new out of box could this be the problem or do i need higher amps thanks
@NightFlyyer Жыл бұрын
Those are big starters for .20's on up. It needs at least a 5 amp or higher battery to last any length of time. Thanks and hope you check out my other Cox videos.

I wish I had known about that as a kid. I can remember getting wacked a few hundred times by the prop as it popped backwards! Thats a great idea on a starter. I am currently looking for a cox free flight setup, if anything at least an engine. I should have grabbed that cox helicopter new in package at a flea market last spring. It was pretty cheaply priced. We had one fly away on us as kids, we figured it went in an oak tree out back of our house. We never did find it.

Boy I remember the finger whacking too!!! Ouch! I remember those cox Helicopters. They did have a habit of flying away. Those engines brought a lot of us up over the years for sure! Hope you find one. Thanks.

I did not know about amazing Goop. Thanks Mr. Dave, I am going to get some and experiment with it. Hope the fumes don't make me loopy LOL. The maker should pay you for all the extra sales.

Which motor can be used for starting a 46 size nitro engine?
@NightFlyyer3 жыл бұрын
You will not find a better motor to start a .46 with than the Sullivan Starters. They and similar brands are the best for bigger motors, but they are overkill for small ones like this and can cause engine damage. Thanks much.

Rubber Magic Tape?
@NightFlyyer6 жыл бұрын
It was called high temp tape in the military and sold as magic tape in our ace hardware store. It stretches tight and only sticks to itself.
