14 years ago i was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. At age 58 I had 3 choices: 1) do nothing and die sooner than later 2) remove the prostate. 3) do Radiation only and or Radio Isotopes. I choose removal & Radiation and 14 years later still here. Only foolish men would not take this serious.

First thank you for your service from another Dave. I was just diagnosed with Prostrate Cancer for my 62nd birthday. Just had Bone Scan and CAT scan done yesterday so don't know if it has spread beyond my Prostrate yet but the Doctor thinks it has. Results meeting is next week.

I never had the PT-19 but had other 020 and 049 CL planes. Baby Flite Streak, Kingpin and others. Have several dozen 049 engines and half a dozen 049 RC planes that get flown every summer. Have a flying buddy that has scratch built a new Baby Flite Streak and other 049 size RC and CL planes. I will be 3/4 of a century old next month and still love the sound of Cox engines and the Castor Oil smell on your clothes at the end of a flying day. Can't beat it. Glad that others are still flying and enjoying Cox engines.

Great idea! I have a 21" ego snowblower and the cheap plastic scraper bar has long since worn through. Major design flaw on Ego's part, and I've been looking at various retrofits with plastic skid plates-this looks like a better solution, although I'd like to play around with making a height adjustment option. Your wife looks like she's having a blast clearing snow-good partner to have!

Right on Dave you nailed it with another great production. The thinking is with this cancer is that worst case it is more likely that we will die with this cancer than die off this cancer. I can live with this no worries as follow up care will keep a close eye on us. The people who are drawn to cancer care are very special people and they do such a great job. I am so grateful for their time and care. My time at Wellington Hospital will be etched in my mind for ever. My thoughts drift back to when I started my journey and remember that information not as good as your production helped me a lot as devils only live in the dark. All the best from New Zealand. We live miles apart but pull on the same ore as we are in the same boat.

All the best Dave. Regards from New Zealand. I have had 28 treatments for T3 prostrate cancer and the effects are starting for fade away now a couple of weeks after treatment. I was double dosed as they washed my Lymph system as well. I am also doing Hormone blocking treatment as well as the cancer feeds on testosterone. This weakens the cancer. My PSA was 19.5 before treatment and the cancer was aggressive. Your presentation is excellent. There are a few differences in what I faced but everyone journey is slightly different. Cranberry is an excellent drink to take as it helps with the burn as dose Ural, it is a fizzy drink powder mixed into water as this also takes the burn away. It is an over the counter preparation.

I fly rc helis and gas aerobatic planes. I would love to have one of those Cox PT19 models now. Especially because that's the first flying model I saw as a child. It and my older brother (god rest his soul) are responsible for my obsession with this hobby. Even led me to become a commercial pilot. I will never forget the smell of the fuel, the sound of the engine and the sun gleaming of that red spinner as I was hypnotised by that prop rotating at high speed.

Just obtained a nexus 30 type-S(says on the canopy) it has an OS .46 FX engine. I got it for 175 including a futaba 7 super radio with a shot battery. He claims it hung from a hobby shop ceiling for decades and never had been flown. However it has some corrosion on the metal pieces, screw heads and such. Apparently condensation from sitting in a garage most likely. It has Futaba S-148 servos. I'm currently learning on my little honey bee and plan to clean up and get the big nexus functioning. It looks a bit intimidating to me right now, but I have nitro car experience...I'm pretty good at tuning. Well I'm going to make you a video of my nexus soon, it's pretty exciting and I can't stop looking at it.... So much to learn, but It's a damn cool bird! Edit... I'm hoping this will fly on a spectrum dx6e 6 channel radio. Not sure yet how many channels are required, but the vintage super 7 radio has a bad battery from never being used or charged.
@NightFlyyer5 күн бұрын
You only need 5 channels to fly the Nexus, so not to worry. The Futaba is on 72 MHz and not recommended if you live in populated area. There is a Big difference in the Honeybee and the Nexus, so take it easy. Engine must stay running as well. Sounds like you got a good deal. Take care and Happy flying. If you make a video, put the link in this message and thanks so much.

Now almost 75. My cousin and I had a pair of PT-19's and flew them many hours. Loved it and stayed in aviation through flying (full size) in clubs and owning planes, designing 747's at Boeing. Was a great start. Also had a Cox P40 which never flew as well. Currently have a large number of RC planes from UMX to 1/5th scale and a full size C182.

Love your video. I am still flying my old Trex600E after 20 years, i don't know how many flights its done, probably a 1000s. I recently converted it to FBL. Its now a great relaxing flyer but it did catch fire on the first flight after the motor windings shorted out. This destroyed the ESC. Landing/auto was good and the fire extinguisher was ready although not needed. Now with a new motor and ESC(Hobbywing) its still one of my favorite helicopters. I have been flying for over 45 years so i hope i still have a few flight to go. I love your old videos keep the vids coming. Regards Kent (UK)
