Wow, look at those beautiful boys! Who wouldn’t want to feed them the best! Thanks for putting this info out there. There are so many pet owners that aren’t aware of the importance of whole food in their pets life. It’s absolutely essential . I’ve taken my dog off of commercial dogfood all together , and prepare all his food fresh. With thorough research , anyone can prepare a totally balanced and healthy diet for their pets , and avoid costly vet visits.

@@huskysquad can I start feeding my almost 8 week old husky? Just got him not long ago and been feeding him rice and boiled chicken since he had diarrhea cause of new premium kebble we gave him? We don’t recommend feeding kibble actually. Too many health problems arise after some time. If you want the best for your puppers, I’d suggest learning how to feed raw. We created an online course to make simple to learn about raw feeding and how to transition out of kibble gently. Check it out here: www.huskysquad.com/kibble-to-raw/

wonderful videos! def would like to see more recipes, have a 6 month husky, been feeding him Orijen puppy formula, with dehydrated raw food as a topper (stella and chewys and primal nuggets) and olive oil on top , since I dont feel comfortable making my own raw food for them, and giving him just raw is expensive for me at the this time. I also give him some vegetables and fruits throughout the day sometimes and want to learn how to make him treats, like the watermelon and now this recipe to give him every so often as I can mix it up in his diet and it would benefit him further....it also adds variety :) and its kind of fun....Thank you, I would also like to learn more about the story behind the husky squad and you guys....like where are you guys from, how did you meet, how did you get the huskies, did each have one and then adopted the third together lol, idk stuff like that... and also training videos, since MY HUSKY IS QUITE STUBBORN, and sometimes I feel overwhelmed.......btw, where did you get your ceramic bowls at the end of the video? very nice
@huskysquad7 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the sweet words. Yes, Orijen is definitely very good quality when it comes to kibble. We were invited to their factory and it was very clean. We will definitely make more cooked food videos as well as toppers to go along with it. Just make sure that you always keep fruits separate and feed fruit at least 3 hours apart (as a snack) than the other foods. 😀 Ok, we will also make some videos more about us soon. Next week we have a video coming that so many of you guys have been requesting: Harness review! I think you will love it. We will also start getting more into training videos in the very near future. We got the ceramic bowls at Cost Plus World Market 😀

Yay! Thanks for answering!, Im glad you were able to check out the Orijen kitchens, brings me peace of mind that you liked them, thanks for the fruit tip, I had no idea, and am looking forward to the other videos! Ive already bought the brushes from amazon you recommended as well as the bathing tools to bathe my husky, very helpful as well. I am actually in the process of buying him a harness, and leash ( looked into Ruffwear harness) so looking forward for that one and the other videos too! Much love from Florida....

Thank you, thank you, thank you! New hear, Do you have one for every season set up that I can watch, the next month I’m getting two huskies, a boy and a girl? Again, thank you! My last Japanese Akita because I didn’t know, even feeding him three different dog foods for a variety only at the wisdom of the breeders, He died of malnutrition, at 6 years old! I was anger, hurt, I felt betrayed, I blamed myself for trusting in store bought dog food, and these came highly recommended! With thousands of dollars doctor bills, It broke my heart to put him down... I will never go through that again! Again, thank you for the love you show for your pets!

+Rosalyn Dee they are beautiful, but please don’t get any dog based on looks. Please research the breed before making this lifelong commitment. There are 1000’s of dogs (purebred huskies and malamutes too!) in kill shelters because people don’t research breeds. Snow dogs are high maintenance and require a lot of time and dedication. My dog is allergic to chicken. Gave her horrible skin issues. Now that I cut out chicken, she is fine. I give her fish, including salmon and sardines, beef and lamb, and venison. I do feed her more meat and less veggies. I use organ meat such as liver and hearts included. I add bone meal, cranberries, green beans, sweet potatoes, some egg, and kelp. I do put turmeric if I have it and ginger and parsley. Because it's pure nutrition, she doesn't need to eat a lot of it. Maybe 3/4 cup to a cup. (She's 60 lbs) I'm just trying to keep her healthy, she is almost 10. She's doing great and shows no signs of arthritis.
@huskysquad7 жыл бұрын
Yes, we've heard about that before! So glad you figured it out - Like our Yuna - she is terribly allergic to peanuts. Yes, organ meats are fantastic and you're doing a great job keeping her healthy with all the right foods. One of my recent findings about not mixing fruit with their other food is something I'm really careful with. Is your pup ok with peanuts? just curious!
@Kasonas7 жыл бұрын
Oh you have to tell me about the fruits. I usually only feed small amounts of fruit, either berries (blueberries mostly, sometimes strawberries) and banana, or a little apple, not much. I make yogurt treats with plain yogurt with a little mashed banana, some ground ginger. I freeze it and she loves it. I am not sure about peanut butter. So I only use a little bit for flavor. It doesn't take a lot so I just use a little bit to flavor, because my dog loves it. I don't know if she is allergic, but I personally don't think they should be eating too much of it. Our northern breed dogs especially.
@huskysquad7 жыл бұрын
Kasonas according to a number of Holistic vets, fruit should be in moderation and either up to an hour before eating protein based meals - or wait 3 hours after protein based meals. Fruits should be fully on its own and berries are great! Fruit done incorrectly can cause the dangerous bloat to happen. Dairy is not something too healthy for dogs we learned, but eggs are good. We use sunflower seed butter from Trader Joe’s instead of peanut butter and small amounts too!

Those are beautiful dogs, wow, they're stunning. I just want to say, I switched to cooking homemade food for my small breed dog and she has so much more energy and smaller poop, she didn't chew her kibble, she swallowed it whole and just wasn't thriving on it. I wanted to add that I do put a small amount of tomatoes her recipes some times for vitamin C, if you aren't giving your dog supplements, they need vitamin C in their food. other options are orange/red bell peppers and kidney beans. same with broccoli, it is good for calcium, but it needs to be cooked well or they won't be able to digest it properly. you can also put in spinach or crushed or ground up eggshells for calcium if you don't want to buy a supplement. for me, I switch ingredients so she has a variety, but make sure I meet the proper ratios of protein/carbs/veggies/fruits/fats.

This video was so great! I'm very interested on dogs nutrition, I feed Runa with super premium kibble but only half of the diet, I mix it with cooked meat, salmon or chicken. I use also turmeric, oil fish and pure coconut oil as suplements, I've red they have so many great properties. I have to add more vegetables, so with the video of today I've learnt so much! I give her sometimes carrots as a snack, she loves them, I've red that they are good for them, but you say in the video that they are not good, so I will read more about it. Please I will love to see more recipies on your videos, and learn more about how you feed husky squad, will you start feed them on raw food or cooked food, mix kibble ald cooked food? I know I have so many questions, I'll be keeping an eye on youe videos to find all the answers. Thanks so much for all the great information you give us, and congratulations for the videos and pictures you make, they are so beautiful. Do you sell those tshirts? they are so great!!! Big thanks from me and Runa, you are a great help for us!!! Hugs for all the squad!!
@huskysquad7 жыл бұрын
Hello Laura :) Thank you so much for the kind words, it means a lot. We're also going through a similar process like you are. About carrots - Yes, I thought so too!! Carrots are not "bad" for dogs. Dogs can't digest carrots and therefor there is very little nutritional value. However, sweet potato and other orange veggies are great for them! :) Read Dr. Tobias blog we linked in the description. He has great info and he is a holistic vet. Sounds great, we will make more nutrition videos and meal ideas while we transition. We will likely end up doing half raw, half cooked, and 100% home made. Kibble should never be mixed with raw meats we learned. Yes, we have those shirts and we have a few left. If you want one, send me your size to hello@huskysquad.com and I will let you know if we have your size right now or if it's coming in our next batch :) Sending lots of love to you and Runa and always feel free to request video topics from us. Thank you :) Howls and Hugs from the HuskySquad

I just want my babies to stay healthy and happy ❤

Hello Emily! Thank you for coming over here. We so enjoy KZbin because we're able to share long, fun, helpful videos :) haha! This type o meal you can definitely have them enjoy as replacement for kibble at least 5 times a week. We have more recipes coming as well as food toppings we do when we feed kibble sometimes. Much to come! :) Sending you and your Squad love - and I also invite you to join HuskySquad updates by subscribing to our newsletter so we can send you videos and blogs when they are published. huskysquad.com
