These days if I have to prep a freeze dried meal, I just cook it in a pot. I’ve never been able to get it full 100% hydration. Always had some bits in the bottom of the bag. I love that popcorn pan. 👍

The pan was expensive. But it works great. Wish I had tried it years ago. About as fast as microwave popcorn (I have a crappy microwave, your mileage may vary.)

I picked up poper like that awhile back, but haven't used it yet. With the 5'+ of snow covering my firepit, I probably won't get to use it till August. On the positive side, haven't seen a skeeter in months. With the sub-zero temps tonight, I shouldn't see any tomorrow either.

Wish I had the popper sooner. Works great. Two batches and no burned corn. Works quick too.
