I bought that same spice grinder after seeing it on your channel years ago now and I also have the same meat grinder.. I have to say that neither one have been a disappointment . I have used both numerous times..You are a fabulous teacher Bev..! I bought a big pork loin last year and did the same thing you have done.. I do believe that I went too light on the spices though.. To say that I love the video's that you have made now for many years would be an "understatement". You and Howie both don't know how truly amazing that you both are..But we do....

He LOVES his sausage rolls because I don't make them more than 3 times in a season..and then only every couple of years! Because until now..we were processing our own meat and fancy sausage meat was always the LAST thing on my mind during butchering time!

I LOVED this video!! When my husband and I first married he freaked out about me buying a $15 pork loin BUT I portioned it into chops and smaller 1 pound loin roasts. He then understood LOL. We get so many meals out of them! He doesn't question me anymore. Everything from scratch and smart shopping makes a tremendous difference. I feel like I'm spending time with family when I watch you ❤

When I got this meat grinder ( For Christmas) it was one of THOSE gifts that I made sure I did me research firt..and although I am sure there are other models..this "Aam Baere" meat grinder was the best quality and power for the cost at the time..and I have never been happier!

Anytime these go on sale at Food Basic for like $10 I buy them. The ‘shaggy’ end becomes pulled pork in the slow cooker, them I cut a roast of 2-3 lbs and the rest gets cut into boneless pork chops. At least 4 or 5 meals all for $10. This looks like another great idea!! Only Food Basics seems to have them for this price 😃

Bev, my hubby, son, and I all get indigestion from sausage, so we don't eat it. I'd like to do try making some that is really mild to try. Nell Covington maybe try using turkey or chicken with a little bacon all ground together. We do that when we make our venison sausage because it is so lean. Good luck.

I love hot sausage. My favorite is the hot Filipino ones. I grew up eating those. I need to remember to pick some up next time I go to the Asian grocery store. The only thing can can make as good or better than anyone else is sinigang. It's Filipino sour soup and most favorite food. I put a wider variety of vegetables when I make it.
