This is the best recipe for naan! I made naan last night and they were super soft. The texture is similar to the "Stonefire" brand naan sold at costco. Thank you.

I'm setting the ingredients up right away for my 15 year-old to enjoy making from scratch at home, thanks to you! Until today, we have only had these at the Indian restaurants + my teen (who is making these today) has liked them so much, we actually purchase the frozen ones in the red bags for her delight. ~ Your recipes are always a pleasure to watch and a delight to recreate at home! ~Thank you, again, for sharing in such an easy-to-understand way! Your videos are much appreciated! :-)

Thank you for this video Madhura, I'm learning about Indian food, and this has been very useful since I don't have access to a Tandoori oven. I'm from Venezuela, and think that you are really lucky to have such an amazing cuisine that you can enjoy in your everyday life. Thank you again.

Look it up salt will kill yeast, and it slows down the growth of yeast, so adding later will make for a better rise, I used to be a pastry chef ......
@MrBANGALOREBOYS7 жыл бұрын
what mam did...she straight a way put a yeast to the flour but actually in our line of teaching it is always suggested to add luke warm water to the yeast mix it well with sugar and then add your salt yogurt and milk separately and gradually pour the mixture into the flour to make dough...because yeast always on dead side to make it rise it is must to add luke warm water with sugar and salt along with yogurt or milk of your choice...but otherwise it has come out very good...keep up the good work..god bless....

I've been trying lots of flat bread recipes and attempted these today. I'd recommend your recipe, it's simple and the results are really tasty - the high volume of yoghurt adds flavour and gives a lovely soft texture. These must be bad for my waistline, so I'll have to be strong-willed!

She has deep accent but she speaks slow English which makes me follow. The process is slow to understand nicely. I used blended garlic with oil mixed with the dough so that garlic flavor blended evenly. Good presentation.

Hey Garth I think she meant the broiler in the oven that cooks the top of whatever it is you are baking not a grill that you grill on otherwise the face of the bread wouldnt brown without burning the bottom side.

you sud make naan without oven...because many people do not use oven or can afford it....and above all the oven has a distinct temperature and to make naan the temperature sud be over 1000 degree fahrenheit unless it cooked in tandoor otherwise your naan never came out soft and fluffy..moreover your naan is bit thick because your dough not kneaded properly and too thick as well specially for making naan dough's always be transparent or bit thin,i.e., your naan look like a bathura instead...but never the less your effort is really commendable. ...hats off.. keep cooking..god bless..

Hi Madhura. I had to look up what a broiler was and I have not seen one before. I live in the United Kingdom. It looked like a grill in an electric oven. Our grills are on the top of our ovens usually unless they have a low level grill. Is it essentially just grilling the naan? Can I use a wok or a square grill pan instead? Many thanks in advance.

Your Naan look great and yummy. Would u be so kind to explain me something. Found somewhere: It should be avoided together add salt and yeast, because salt will prevent yeast to perform its function to raise dough. In this recipes there is also baking powder for same purpose. I am a bit confused (maybe cos I am amateur). I will make this Naan today, but I am wondering why is that so. TY, greetings
