I dont know which size is your nozzle, but you dont need so big air tank. You can use small silent compressor without air tank at all. Also, you dont need to mix diesel fuel with waste oil. You must have a oil tank with 2-3 liter of oil and there you will heat this oil to 65 celsius, or you can use somekind of inline oil preheater instead oil tank. You can work in siphon mode and it will work very well, but better way is using oil pump and regulate oil pressure to the nozzle. Also for nozzles you must filtrate oil which you send to the nozzle. This is minimum of conditions to burn waste oil. Delavan 30609 type of nozzle is one of the best in this job, but china also work but there is a lot of bad copies. I suggest you to find more info about R. Babington patent and principle of burning any type of waste oil without any filtration and with lowest air and energy consumption. This type of burner is used by USA army....i can write about this topic for a days....but I will stop. 😅 All I want is to save your time.... I spent a lot of years to learning about waste oil burner....and i dont know anything.....good luck man and clean burning I wish you 😊

How long will it run on the storage tanks with the compressor turned off?
@certifiedhoarder11 ай бұрын
Really depends a lot on the psi but id say up to an hour. Im still learning the tuning myself. on a windy day its not as stable and takes more air to keep stable. Thats a hiccup i need to improve.

What burner kit you using

It was a generic china special on ebay i think. Theyre all pretty much the same. Came with a flame retention cone and an ignitor tip but no ignition module. About $40-50 now. Was $22!

That’s a good concept. I’m just thinking out loud and I’m sure you already thought about it but I was wondering if the pump and fan out of a salamander heater would possibly work.
@certifiedhoarder11 ай бұрын
@@williamp4484 probably, ive never owned a salamander to take apart so i wouldnt know whats in em. theyre as rare as snowblowers to come by in the south. if i had a becket burner id have started with that but i am wanting air powered. I have several sources of air even without electricity.

@williamp4484 My thoughts exactly. There is a guy on an oil burner forum that has one on an old propane water heater.

The nozzle on fuel oil and reedy heater won't work, they only have one port and a atomizer on back, you have to have a waste oil nozzle, because your injecting air and oil, has two ports, one for air and one for oil, the air pushed oil in and atomize it as its being injected. I knows for a fact, because ove been heating with used oil for years now and have been threw few ways of doing it. Some mix gasoline, diesel or acetone with the oil to get it to go threw a fuel oil or reedy heater nozzle, but if oil has any junk in it, it will clog up, pretty much defeats the point of burning waste oil if have to mix to get to burn, no one wants waste money, now you can heat up the oil and get to run threw a reedy heater or fuel oil nozzle, but still need air injection from compressor, so might as well just spend the $15 for the right nozzle, you van buy from eBay or ck burners website. It us best to preheat the oil before trying to burn, that way burns completely.
