Denise as an writer myself I can see how one can get quite inspired in a space that is as lovely and so chic and put together as yours. I can't wait to watch your other videos to get more inspiration for my own writing room! I have to admit I would never have thought of putting my desk in the middle, front and centre like that. I loved it! I live in Canada so we do not have the stores big lots and the Container Store, you have no idea how envious I am. However, we do have Dollarama and Dollar Tree, Wal-Mart, I can get few things from Staples that are somewhat reasonable. My parents live in Texas and I give my Mother a list of things to bring home, she's usually fillied the back seat with all the organizing containers she can find not to mention all those little notebooks you like, I love them too. Hi! Denise! What a fabulous job you did in your Home Office - I love the white and acrylic coordination, and the rug really does give not only great balance, but it adds a homey, decorative, and royal feeling to a ladies space. I have also been working on a Home Office that is strategically located in my bedroom, along with my WALK-IN CLOSET! After 5 years, I decided to finally take the plunge. From one designer to another, I'd appreciate your opinion on what has become, my biggest design challenge. My plan was to fix and paint the walls and prime and paint the ceiling which is an attic ceiling. My Hubby felt that I was taking on a huge project although it was a small space, and recommended that I skip painting and let him order carpet for the walls and floor. He was available at that moment so I suggested that he use carpet pieces he may have in the garage - and he did, when he ran out of one, he used another! His concern was to help eliminate the draft that came through the crevices around the sheetrock making the room feel like the outdoors in cold weather. He did a great job, and my closet feels cozy, but I'm not loving the mix match colors of the room which does not coordinate with any furniture or shelving I have to go in the room. Painting my furniture seems to be the best option, but it's an even bigger job and would involve taking everything out the closet again, and putting it back into the space I'm trying to complete as my office, creating an even bigger mess! Denise, be my guest, what do you reccommend?
