Architect here, i just want to add, for toilets you should also check if the floor is sloping down to the drain so that there will be no ponding on certain areas, you can do this by running the water on the floor and check how the water drains on its own. "Hindi mo makikita ang mali kung hindi mo alam ang tama." Kaya ka kumukuha ng contractor kasi expected mo na alam nila ang tama - dapat. But, reality is not all are reliable, honest, and may pagmalasakit sa owner. Hirap talaga pag wala kang alam kasi sasabihin lang nila na yun ang tama or okay na yan kahit hindi. Also to add, Engr. based on personal experience. Check nyo if may dumadaan na pipe sa septic other than yung galing sa water closet. dapat yung sa water closet lng yung daan sa septic para hindi mapuno agad. also dapat ndi binabaha yun septic very basic pro minsan kase ndi napapansin kaya nadadaya hehe. water proofing din po very important sa mga canopies above window and sa roof ofcourse. at eto pa pala. sa simula palang dapat ina-anticipate nyo na kung gano kataas dapat yung floorlevel ng bahay nyo, kung ndi ba aabutin ng baha. very important to na dapat masiguro nyo lalo na pag nasa layouting period na kayo ng bahay nyo, kase mahirap mag adjust ng floorlevel ng bahay lalo na kung very late nyo na marealize. yun lng po magandang gabi sa lahat. Friday's mum hi po itry nyo po ipaandar isaisa yung gripo nyo sa kitchen sink, lavatory tsaka shower tapos labas kayo sa kanal tignan nyo kung diritso ba sa kanal yung tubig. pg hindi, baka sa septic dumiretso yun which is masama kase mapupuno agad septic tank nyo i hope thats what u meant to ask po

during concreting phase , check if the contractor follows the structural schedule / details (number of rebars & sizes) for beams slab columns etc and the methodology behind it, this is where they usually make "daya" because rebars are one of the most expensive components in a building, if you cant understand the engineering plans make sure to ask your civil designer / architect to visit the site. if these details are not met the longevity of the house is compromised because problems in structural stability will only take effect maybe years or even a decade to occur which is way after the contractors warranty / retention, Great vid btw kudos

Nung una pinapagawa lang nmin sa mga construction worker yung pagpipinta sa bahay ng parents ko kaya may mga spotting sa floor at uneven yung paint sa wall kaya pinaulit nmin sa mga nakakaalam or professional kaya makikita talaga yung differences ng gawa nila mas finer at even yung paint ng wall at walang spotting sa marble floor even mas costy but very satifying nman yung resulta

Thanks for this video. Owners really have to check everything. Our contractor and architect have very poor attention to details. No quality check from their end before turnover. And we really have to assert that they fix all the flaws before paying the retention fee.
