Overall fantastic! I love the vision, and brave execution! Tweaks: the pancakes would be better truly recessed, and the grout/mortar needs a better match. You can repoint the lower stone to match the new upper stone, and then it won't look like two separate areas. So impressed!

@saltwaterpurl thanks! Appreciate the comment! I think the grout matches better now that it has dried more. If you haven't yet, can you subscribe? That will help us give more updates on projects!!

Awesome video! What is the new height of the ceiling? Did you guys have standard 8ft ceilings to begin with?
@HouseofHuie9 ай бұрын
Hi Jeremiah! Thanks for watching and asking a great question! The new height is now 12 feet 10 inches. We did have 8 feet ceilings originally. Tell me about your plans!

@@HouseofHuie Good to know! We have a couple of projects lined up. First, a home addition for a family room where the room will actually look similars to yours and will add a master bedroom on the other side of the wall. Our house is old with 7.5 foot walls and we don't want it to look too weird so I think we will build with 8ft walls. Second, the existing house is a cape cod style home, and we have two bedrooms in our attic. We are considering removing the attic bedroom above the kitchen to make a huge cathedral style ceiling since the 7.5 ft ceiling is pretty low. It's gonna be expensive :)

@jeremiahhobbs1867 very exciting! I wish we were closer to take a look. Where are you located? It seems an architect may be worth discussing this with.
