What's the strangest place you had a home studio set up??
@tomasshannon65374 жыл бұрын
the attic at my dad's place! haha luckily it sounds great. got a few vids up on my channel from there if anyone's curious :D edit: I'm planning on putting together a more legit studio after this pandemic, and all these studio tours (plus your studio setup vids) are inspiring and motivating me big time, so thanks!

I've been taking my mobile set up [which is an old airstream] to swamps, setting up mics in the water and amps on the shore.

I would love to do all sorts of stuff, due to time constraints we usually have just enough time for the tour. The videos as they are now take about 4 hours to shoot. I’ll most likely do more collaborative videos with them at their studios down the line.

@@AndrewMasters for sure man!. Id love to see that! Im aware of the time it takes to set it all up, i play drums myself and sometimes it takes my whole day tuning the drums, setting up the mics and mixers so i understand.. great videos tho seeing different guys with their home studios! 🤘

One question I’ve always had of drummers is how often they go through a pair of drum sticks, and does one usually wear out faster than another. And what does a worn drumstick start to affect in terms if the sound. Basically I’m obsessed with drumsticks apparently.
@NashvilleDrumCoach4 жыл бұрын
Superdelphinus hey great question. So wearing down sticks is super random and not consistent at all from Drunmer to Drummer. As far as sound, yeah a cracked or chipped stick changed sound on cymbals a great deal but also on sticks. For example, I can hear a warped or slightly cracked stock on a cymbal and immediately tell without even holding it.
