I think the size of the monitors you're getting should be based on how far apart they can be, and how big the studio is, for starters. HS8 can be uselessly big for a tiny room for example.

nice setup but you could really benefit from switching your hs5 for something else! having two monitor from de same lineup is kind of pointless since they are tuned to sound similar. you could also sell both and buy genelecs or focals.

Hi Edward, love your channel, thanks for all the work you put into it (awesome music too!). I was wondering: if I buy the neumann tlm 102, along with the mic boom you recommend (using your Amazon links!), does that cover me, or would I need another accessory for this to work? I already have a mic stand; I'm thinking in terms of the mic connecting to the boom stand in particular. Thanks.
@EdwardSmithMusic3 жыл бұрын
The mic and the boom arm will work perfectly! To be honest, rather get the 2nd boom arm in the description, because the boom arm I use needs a heavy microphone to work really well, and the Neuman is a little too light. So I think the other boom arm is a better touch. You won't need any other accessories to make this work, unless you want to add something like the foam pop filter which is something I like to use, but it's not a must have at all.
