More of a family film, flirtatious barista Victoria (Natasha Bure) is bored with her social butterfly lifestyle and longs for real love. When handsome Jason (Ben Elliott) walks into her coffee shop, she turns on the charm. But he doesn’t respond to her flirting like men usually do. When she discovers that he runs a ministry that builds affordable housing for families in need, she decides to volunteer. So what if it’s faith-based organization? As far as she’s concerned, pretending to be a “church person” isn’t any different than pretending to like sports or a guy’s friends if it gets her what she wants.

This is totally an amazing movie to watch on a rainy day. It is light-hearted and funny romantic movie. A must see. The ending of the movie is heartwarming when charming and flirtatious Barista Victoria (Natasha Bure) confessess in front of the audiences that she was self-centered, vain and superficial to the simple, sweet and faithful Christian guy Jason (Ben Elliott) and apologizes to them for being selfish. In short, this movie is a pure delight in every way. Thumbs Up to the director, producer, writer, actors, actresses and the whole cast and crew of the movie for making such a lovely masterpiece.

Why is it that most christian movies don't say their prayers in the movies with Jesus name.They sometimes just end the prayer and say amen or say stuff like in your name.From beginning to end no mention of Jesus christ.christianity without Jesus Christ does not exist except it's a corporate scam by the movie industry. I repeat no Jesus Christ no Christianity.

I know-very good point. There should be no shame of Jesus' name-maybe they are trying to please all audiences..but this movie did touch my heart because the main character reminded me so much of my grandaughter-and I want her to see how valueless vanity and self centeredness are. At least they had some scriptures-I give them credit for that.I think Natasha must be related to Candace Bure-Kirk Cameron's sister.

This would be a cute Hallmark movie, but it feels like it was written by the main character, someone pretending. We never see the main character become a Christian. She just joins a Bible study. We don’t see her actually pray except for a few times where it almost seems more like she’s talking to herself. She doesn’t ask Jesus for forgiveness of her sins and she doesn’t invite Him into her life. It felt very off for a Christian movie.

And at the first construction site meeting where he leads in prayer, he doesn't close it in Jesus's name. I only watched maybe the first 1/3 of it because it was just too much of what I felt was promotion of vacuous vanity. It seemed like that was being glorified, and made to look good. Also, as in Hallmark movies, the guy was kind of sappy. I would love to see a romance movie were the male is a strong man, not like some kind of house pet.

The movie is just like the old movie on your channel, 'The Pretender'. But this movie is much better with the girl getting transformed. It would have been better had it had the salvation prayer & without the kissing scene of two folks not married to each other. The kissing scene is promoting immorality & blown the beauty of the movie away. The movie could have ended with both of them holding hands & walking away or hugging or even getting married in Church.

Will the girl accept Christ because she sees her need of a Savior from her sins? Or will she accept Jesus just for of the sake of being with the guy that she likes? Her eternal destiny is at stake here. 🙂

That is what is ideal, however in real life it doesn’t always occur in that order. Christ draws us to Himself in His timing. Ruth is a beautiful example of this. In this movie she was looking for true love. In her pursuit of finding love she found the love of the savior as well as the live of a man. She figured out that what made the good guy she was falling for good was God. That God was what she needed as well as the live of a man.

It's applying what the Apostle Paul said in Galatians 2:20, "Dying to Self and living to God" instead. John the Baptist also said this about Jesus: He must increase. I must decrease. Genuine Christianity is marked by total surrender to God so that the life of Christ might be seen in us through the enabling of the Holy Spirit. That is how it is done. 🙂

Yes I too would agree with some of the viewers who have commented. No Jesus even in Victoria's Testimony. Also the kissing scene had to get deleted, as the Christian movie, would no longer qualify for family viewing, especially with teenagers. Otherwise, nice story.😊
