I currently run a 7.1.4 Klipsch Atmos system with 4 SVS SB-3000 subs. I found the Klipsch horns to be very directional within a foot. I used a laser to align them. Three things to think about: 1- Toe in the towers so the horns image to the center seat instead of straight. 2- Move the center channel forward so the front baffle hangs over the front edge about an inch. This gives the center channel less sound bounce from the table top. 3- adjust the Atmos speakers so the horns are firing as close to the the center seat as possible. Since Klipsch are so directional, you'll notice much better Atmos direction instead of it being defused and less articulate. Assuming you've dialed in your setup with a sound meter this won't affect the volume only give the Atmos sound track a cleaner route to your ears. With older Dolby 5.1 a defused sound was what we were looking for, but, Atmos is really directional and the horns really need to be focused at the center seat which will make all the seats a better listening experience.

Yes atmos is very picky if you want perfect. But once you have it…and you're in that little bubble of perfect… Many guests who said: I don't care, were baffled once positioned in the bubble. Remember many atmos films have no real atmos sound, just a few seconds of exaggerated sound effects that were put in afterwards.

Great set up and configuration. Mine is similar save for having up-firing Atmos speakers on the Bookshelf's with a single subwoofer (5.1.2). All Sony -- AVR (STR-DH750) and Speakers.

clean setup. The pros say you get a better sound from the center channel if its pulled to the edge. Try it and see if you notice a difference. What type of tv are you using?

@@carlo19mp1 rears can be higher than ear level and still provide the effects needed. Think about the rears in a theater or home theater. Those seats are on risers which make the listening position lower in the 1st row. Should not make or break the sound.
