In my case - On day one, they were neatly bundled. One year later, it's a full-on rats nest. HAHA. I'm building a new house and I want to see if I can do a pro looking install. I think velcro is the to go. Zip ties are too permanent, and hard on the delicate cables. I really love that 1 inch loom that you have. I'll be buying some of that.

Very Nice Rack mgmt. I am in the process of a rack reorg as well. Swapping out GLS XLR cables for Mackenzies. I noticed they are on back-order right now 1 a 1m single XLR/XLR. I am also having some XLR Fem to RCA male ordered for my setup as well. I may even look into the AudioQuest power cables as well. Thanks for the video. PM

hey Shane, It looks like you mounted your switch to the back of the rack, which makes sense. I am assuming you just ran the power cable back to the back of the rack and into a power conditioner? If so, then did you just have a blank on the front of the rack?
@therealshanelee3 жыл бұрын
Yeah there's a blank up front.

nice work on the cable management. Looks like you had fun putting it all together. The speaker wire pants were really cool. i don't have that much equipment, but i just velcro the wires together, then, velcro to the side of the rack - so no rack rails. i dont understand your meaning when you explained why you didn't hook up the subs to the XLRs... "wall pressure"? (did you mean the cables were too close to the wall so that it wouldn't fit /bend?

Tough to say. Are you starting from scratch or upgrading from 5.1 or 7.1? I recently upgraded from 7.1 to 7.1.2 (2 Dolby Atmos in-ceiling speakers). Cost for speakers, new receiver (9 channel), wiring, and install was about $2,800.
