WOW what a gorgeous home!! They are very blessed! My home is eclectic so it’s fun to see a home that has a consistent theme throughout. Oh, and that colonial gold color is my favorite home color 🎉 but it’s a tough paint chip to select as it can quickly go too dark/brown/green/orange 😂

My store trim is a mustard color called Tamed Lyon by Dutch Boy. (That's how it's spelled on the paint chip). You can find beautiful, historic golds by going to the paint store and picking up a historic color brochure. I believe Benjamin Moore carries the Colonial Williamsburg colors.

All of the trees and greenery are artificial, believe it or not! It would be too expensive to get fresh every year. She has greenery tucked in everywhere! She burns Christmas candles though and it did smell wonderful. Glad you enjoyed it! Merry Christmas!

Absolutely stunning Barb, from your collection of redware, to the ALS pewter, to the beautiful stenciling Kandye did on the walls and the stair risers...the attention to detail is amazing.. basically a Colonial Williamsburg home, my favorite style..and I didn't even mention the appropriate Christmas decor, love the battery operated candles on your tree's, just the perfect details... Kandye you can come to my home anytime and teach me how to stencil, as I would that detail in my home too..😉. Take care from Arizona 🌵

Wow! Say, historically when did people begin painting their furniture black? They must have a massive storage area for all their decorations. I really enjoyed seeing all the wood rocking horses. Excellent tour, thank you for showing us and your friend for allowing it.

A lot of black furniture became popular recently with the colonial/primitive style because it goes well with anything. Think of it as the opposite of the all white look with shabby chic decor. Historically, early American furniture, specifically what is called high country colonial is painted many colors. Particularly the Pennsylvania German immigrants painted beautiful, colorful designs on their furniture. I've seen many pieces of it in museums ourmt east.

Yes, he did. Not sure what you're saying. Mrs. Cratchitt had already cooked the goose for dinner when the prize turkey arrived. She has geese throughout her decor to tie in with the story. I said in the outdoor video that Mr. Scrooge gave the family a prize turkey. That is why she included it.
