Loved your new redware pieces, Kandye..I too love simple redware pieces..the cookies looked yummy 😋.. I truly believe that charity begins at home, not in some foreign governments war..our government needs to help our own first.. this is why we pay taxes, to help our fellow Americans in time of need. Take care from Arizona 🌵

@@cabincrafts2239 Basically in your own backyards, homelessness, families that can't afford to feed their children fruits and vegetables, seniors on a fixed income, basically only receiving a small Social Security check and of course the Indian Reservation's, one of our reservations up in the northeast part of the state, several homes just received electricity installed in their houses, it's 2024 not 1924 and it snows there and gets down right chilly..Where was the Federal government all those years???🥴

Kandye I'm glad you got to go on your trip and take us along in your videos. The redware pottery pieces you bought are beautiful. I'm glad you made it back home safely. I'm praying for the people of WNC it's a mess up there in more ways than one. Kudos to your son who's taking the hay to them.👏 I heard from another KZbinr that I follow that's boots on the ground had a unconfirmed report that 3 people froze to death last night.😢 I know all the attention is on WNC and rightly so but, we need to pray 🙏 and help people along the gulf coast of Florida where hurricanes 🌀🌊 Helene and Milton came onshore.

Love everything you showed. Yes, charity begins at home. I do cross stitching and a couple of designers donated designs and all proceeds went to NC. I got the patterns and just finished Go Tell It On the Mountain by the Proper Stitcher. It stitched up nice and I can't wait to hang it up for Christmas. Just need to help. My sister genealogy and she said we have some Moravian way back love the stars. Thanks again for the show and tell!

Oh my goodness, see Kandye, case and point. I always learn so much from you. Never knew the Moravians were Protestant first. I have always enjoyed the ginger Moravian cookies at Christmas time. My favorites are those tiny jugs. Jesus please bless those Dear people in North Carolina. Our church did the Samaritains purse as well for them. Bless your Son.

A favorite Christmas memory is going to Bethlehem, PA at night. The lit up glass Moravian stars outside homes and restaurants (usually under porticos and front porches) were incredible. I forgot to order some paper ones from you. I will next time. All the best…

I thought so at first too when I bought it because they talked about the squirrel so much, then I realized when I got home it was the bear, which was rarer.

Could you tell about the little doll over your right shoulder, so cute. Crock bread recipe please.I also like the gingerbread man wreath, lovely.
@cabincrafts22399 күн бұрын
Thank you! The little doll is an antique. I don't remember where I picked him up. He is homemade and if you place a thin piece of wood between your knees and tap it, it makes his legs do a little jig. For crock bread, you can use any bread recipe and bake it in that crock. Just do it as if you were using a loaf pan. The pottery bakes it evenly. I don't have a specific recipe. I imagine you could do quick breads in it too.

Moravians had a 24/7 prayer meeting for 100 years! Some also were so committed to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ, that they sold themselves into slavery to hopefully win more to Christ. Heard about them 25+ years ago
