I love my natural lawn full of clover, violets, dandelions, wild strawberry and more. It's a Q acre minus the house built in the 40s in an area with high maintenance lawns and this and those lawns look great, but I can't abide the fertilizer and weed treatment for myself. If I had a tiny garden like this I would forgo a lawn entirely and plant food 😂 Can't wait to see the equipment you use on these turfs and if you are able to neglect some spots to show what happens as they get out of control (maybe just set up like a planter box in the back with samples of each)

Those were good looking turf rolls but at the same time, your love of your work showed through in your enthusiasm over the different types. :) Not a bad idea to have turf plots to experiment with.

Good that the turf farm gave you beautiful cut rolls. I wasn't so lucky for my back yard but changed supplier for the front and was pretty happy with the tiff tuff. Had zoyisa at my old place hated how slow it grew and recover after a Reno in spring took like 2 months. Hopefully you will have more luck mate

That zoysia looks amazing! I'm not sure if it's the same kind available here in S Florida. Supposedly you're able to just lay it down over any scrubby lawn and it will choke it out and take over. I've not tried it though, but it's what I'd need.

Thank you for the video. Do you have a preference between the zoysia and tiftuf? I have the tiftuf but am thinking to getting the zoysia, since I have to mow the tiftuf like twice a week.

If you don’t want to mow as often sirgrange. But obviously it’s also slower to recover.

I thought the zoysia should be played on a 100-200mm bed of straight sand?

They do say that on the website but the average homeowner is unlikely to do that. Mine thrived in that section.
