It’s so cool that you’re doing so many jobs around the house yourself! When we got our apartment the renovation had to happen really quickly so we had builders do most jobs (and most things I couldn’t have done). But this is seriously cool and already looking so good. @emilysmith27843 жыл бұрын
For the wheelie bin situation you can get these metal L shaped brackets you can attach and put a padlock on them. We used them in our old house as our bins were next to a path and everyone who walked past put their dog poop and rubbish in our bin. The L brackets worked a treat.

Could you try with some paint stripper on one stair to see how hard it is to remove the paint? If it's too tough, I'd be tempted to sand and finish the middle parts and re paint the edges in a darker colour!
@KG-ul7nx3 жыл бұрын
If the paint is lead based, it's dangerous to disturb it (with sanding, paint-stripper etc). Probably safest to do a lead test first (you can buy a cheap kit that does this at the hardware store) before doing anything further
@h4ppy3nd3 жыл бұрын
@@KG-ul7nx Chemical strippers are safe with lead paint because they bind the particles together. What's dangerous about lead is when it creates dust.

Hey, just throwing this out there but one of the easiest and safest ways to remove lead paint is with a paint stripper. Just wear a mask, open all your windows and endure the awful smell. And chemical strippers are not at all expensive.
