the beat was tight and the lyrics were tight, but if he's combining the two, then he needs to make it apparent how he's trying to deliver. the beat sounds like a beat and not background music, if that was the case, no one would be complaining, even if it means just turning it down a bit in the mix. not arguing with you at all, just "style" can be confused for error in this case. the way i hear it, he has no time at all. which isnt bad IF thats what he's going for. much respect though.
