I use the grainfathar fermenters with their glycol chiller. I got 4 of them and can make as much beer as I have time to make. They work great. In my opinion the warming function on the fermenters isn't nearly as good as the chilling function with their glycol chiller. It is insane how fast they can cool down wort/beer. I always try not to overshoot when I'm chilling down my wort before transfer to my fermenter as I know I can always chill it a little further to pitching temperature in no time. Great video thanks.

You have a real nice and clean setup. I got my G40 now and the first Pilsener is in the fermenter and just made its first "blob" a few minutes ago. I love this clean workplaces and especially your sparge solution. Gonna copy that next, but maybe we will built something that will work over the whole grainbasket. Cheers from northern Germany. We have bad brewing water at my place, so i had to think about deionised water and adding salt from the very first moment. What i found out is a nice solution by AFT. You can integrate it into your watersystem and it makes deionised water straight out of the tap. Its good for 300-600 liters depending on your water hardness. Than you can change the salt that makes the deionisation for around 10 € and you are ready for another 300-600 litres. And no wasted water like osmose systems. The system itself is around 140 Euro and i really like it. I dont know about your waterquality but i thought thats maybe something interesting for you ;)

Hi , thank you for your nice comment! I can't wait to have a crispy pilsner for the spring here in Wales. Water here isn't too bad to be honest but it's definitely an upgrade i'm thinking of (for general use as well as brewing!) Cheers

Great set up and great to see the videos back up ! Do you use Tap Water and treat with Campden tablet etc. and salts for the beer profile ? I've used RO water previously, but think Welsh Water is a good enough base so thinking of just treating my tap water 🍺👍
@HomebrewGriffo10 ай бұрын
Hi Danno, thanks for the kind comment - yeah the water here is pretty good but I do treat for my intended profile and beer style - hoping to invest in a good RO system very soon! cheers

Great job Griffo I have exactly the same set up. I’ve done a couple of big brews IPA’s enough to fill both fermenters then used different yeast one a US-05 and Verdant the other a US-05 and Cali ale to be honest my friends and myself couldn’t taste much difference. I was hoping for more fruit flavour .from the verdant and cali ale. Iechyd da from Mike on Vancouver island

Do you only do full size batches in those big electric brew systems? I usually do 5 gallon batches in the smaller ones (grainfather and robobrew 30L). Didn't know if you could do smaller batches in the larger vessels. I feel like I'm always pushing the max grainbill to the max.
