Good Morning Hema . Thank you so much for the lesson on making fresh creamy curd. Two Questions . 1 .Can you tell us/me from where to get these lovely looking clay pots or vessels n your other cookware /vessels you use in your kitchen. 2nd in a place like Canada spring n summer curd forms pretty well but in winter curd n dosa batter does not furment . Any tips or tricks that you can share. Thanks Hema . Wish you a plesant week end.

If you have an instant pot, use it during winter to set the curd. Dosa batter takes time to ferment almost a day, leave the batter beside stove top when you cook. The heat from the stove will help to ferment the batter.

Also, leave the oven light on. It will help with fermentation.

Hello ! Here is something you can do on cold days or winters. Preheat the oven maybe at 160 or 170 degrees for 15-20 mins and once the oven is warm enough you can place the curd bowl or vessel in the oven for it to set. I hope this helps 😊👍🏻

How come you didn't get any whey in your set curd? I usually have to drain 20% whey after setting. Which commercial starter can use initially to get thick curd?
@divyamanay1255 ай бұрын
I think it’d have been useful if you showed how to set curd without a prior cup being available because if I had a cup of good curd before only, I wouldn’t need instructions to set new curd.

@JahidulIslamАй бұрын
@@aswathiic1475 better make a curd starter from raw milk. Boil the raw milk and keep a little bit of milk in a separate container. Then dip 2 green chillies with stem and cover it. Keep it in a warm place for at least 12 hours. It should give you a good curd starter.

How to make that first curd to make curd?? Im so confused?
@JahidulIslamАй бұрын
After boiling the raw milk, transfer little bit of milk in separate container (small mud container is preffered). Then mix 2 tbsp of lemon juice in that milk. Now cover it and keep it in a warm place for at least 10 to 12 hours. You can also use green chilies(with stem)or dried red chillies(with steam) instead of lemon juice also.
Akka this resulted in growth of fungus over top layer sides of the pot,both looks white also😢any idea how to stop that?

I'm not sure.but you may try the following ideas 1.change the curd after the milk set as curd as soon as possible. 2.wash the curd pot using the rice flour or rice water with lukewarm water at each time

@@HomeCookingShow God dam… you better mind your language I speak better English than you do and anybody can easily figure out when I speak English, I only speak English, but I prefer to speak Hindi, when you speak English we have to concentrate on your accent because it’s more like Spanish To me, so if you prefer to speak English, go on the kanada state TV and do all day long on record. Friendly advice, if you don’t know Hindi at least try to speak it up. One day will be perfect “ SHANI “Good luck.
