I know she's cooked a few little things on video. It was something new. To use some (maybe loose leaf cabbage? ) for wraps! I know because of that video I ordered a leaf or loose head cabbage with a huge Japanese or Chinese name(it says both chinese/Japanese origin for the variety) Its really yummy.

It is so true. After doing things repetitively you just know. I love to cook and bake and I often just pour spices/ salt etc into my hand to measure. Had my family call me on it so we went and got the spoons I measured 4 different things in my hand and how much I said it was and put in little ramekins the kiddos took the spoons and checked my work. Spot on. They just couldn't figure it out lol. To them it was like magic.🤣🥰 i love their little active minds 😍

Beautiful setting for a market. For some reason most farmers markets I have attended seem to be in parking lots. I think my wife and I will have to check your market out even if its a bit of a drive from Lancaster. All the best to you and yours.

I have to say these wonderful people have really helped with my little at home hydroponics this year. Its only my first year doing it but they've helped so much just by watching the videos and if I have a question both Devin and Katy(I hope I have the names right. Im horrible at remembering 😳) have helped and answered.

Have you though about leaving a bit of water in the bottom of the bag keep the greens and lettuce firm and hydrated throughout the day when selling at the farm market? Would that work.
@HomegrownPassion

We tried that in the beginning. Didn't really work for us. The best thing we found was to try and keep them out of the sun, cool and wrapped up so they stay moist

Those dandelion greens……are those the same that grow in the yard? They look really big compared to the yard ones. Also if they are the same, how do you keep them from flowering ?
@Emeraldwitch30
@Emeraldwitch30 2 жыл бұрын
I bet they are an Italian cultivar. But if you grow thr ones from the yard in good rich soil with lots of water they are big and tasty like that. I'm not a huge fan but a friend of mine is and in my gardens the dandelions grow bigger than that. So she has me drop a pot over a few clumps and blanch them just for a week and cuts them. The roots on them are as big as my wrists! She is staying with her family in another state this summer (darn you COVID 😒) so I havent really let many grow for her. But my chickens love the greens.

SO we have a air wall at the door to the greenhouse and the entire greenhouse has insect exclusion. Have not had problems with aphids...we do have a few white fly's on the cucumbers but we were able to control them with a little insecticidal soap.

"It will last up to two weeks in the refrigerator." No, it won't, it'll be crumbs long before hitting the one week mark. Bok choy is the best crunchy green thing ever grown.

WRONG. I have 100's of examples from customers saying it lasts that long. You must be talking about store bought produce. Mine is picked that morning and super fresh. Love comments from people who don't know what they are talking about... thank you.

Well, what I will keep in mind about that video is the excessive usage of plastic bags. Might be convenient but not eco-friendly. Most of them will end up in the ocean. Would be great if you could find an alternative for all this plastic. Beside of that I always enjoy our videos!

I wish only one thing from you. Those plastic bags you put the greens in are so bad for the environment, worse than the other bags used. I wish there was a better way. Maybe you could also sell re-useable, washable bags at the market..

Plastic bag for packing Vegetables are not Sustainable & not good for the Environment, specially we are Experiencing Climate Change-Global Warming Nowadays, Instead try to used Newspaper for Wrapping Vegetables or Paper Bag for packing fresh produce in your Wonderful Farm. 👶🌱🐣 #SaveHumanitySaveEarthSaveTheWorld. 💯%🙏🌎🌏🌍✌

Yea sounds good but wont work...Nothing would last without a plastic bag to hold moisture. Recycle on the back end is the only choice and we do use biodegrade bags in some instances. I would ague paper can just be as bad...ever been by a paper pulp plant...not good....just saying.
