Well if you’re referring to cyclops there is an actual reason, he hasn’t got typical laser eyes they’re called concussive blasts. Basically his eyes are like really strong wind or a constant stream of punches. His lasers would heat something by pure force, not from the heat of the beam itself like home lander and superman. 3:32 a detail I love how the directors thought about the laser eyes is that he firsts focuses them on something isn't explosive or anywhere dangerous, and then moves his eyes towards the direction of the person he tries to kill, showing that's he's lazy with his accuracy and he'd rather just slice them then use pin point accuracy and focusing on his kills.
