Honestly with Sage I'm the 7 now, I don't know how A-train WONT get caught if he keeps helping hughie and The Boys. From a narrative standpoint, you don't just introduce a character as the "smartest person in the world" and have them hanging around just to miss every little detail that a lesser detective would have picked up on. I'm pretty sure that If A-train is caught, sister sage will have something to do with it

He’ll die one of two ways. 1. He joins The Boys, but is quickly killed via a bomb in his chest (there’s a popular theory that a bomb was put in his chest). 2. The comic scene of Maeve saving Starlight will go to A-Train. He’ll die saving Hughie’s new girlfriend, whereas he killed his old one. Both would be poetic. The first is more in line with the show and pessimistic nature of it. It would show that even though he wanted to become a genuine hero, his fate is still appropriate, since he still murdered a lot people and was complicit in far more atrocious crimes. He doesn’t get his full redemption. The second is one of full redemption. I also feel Hughie would call A-Train’s family and tell him he was a hero in the end. The Boys might even take them into custody and put them in witness protection, since you can bet Homelander would want to brutally torture them to death.

I really don't want to see A-Train die since I like the character and love seeing his super speed in action, but I think this is what is going to happen. He is also too OP as far as being able to get items that The Boys need and rescue them from danger by quickly getting them away from the scene. If A-Train fully went to their side, it would take a lot of the underdog feel that the team has had throughout the show. I also think it will be Sage that finds out about his betrayal (if she doesn't know already).

As a character, I don’t want him to die, but him as having an ark in his story I think it would be fitting for him to die at some point when he fully understands genuine sympathy and humility. Could be nice for him to move somewhere like QM did but I don’t think it’s gonna happen twice.

I’m hoping that when/if this fight takes place, A-Train leaves it all on the table. He can absolutely put up a decent fight against Homelander so long as he can stay moving. I’m not sure if single handed shots will work, so he needs to be bladed up. We’ve already seen that Homelanders ears are vulnerable, which means his eyes, etc. are as well. I don’t think A-Train makes it out alive, but I do think he can cause some serious damage if he’s prepared.

All of the redeemed or even fully good supes in this show that aren’t named Starlight have been written off in some way eventually. First Blindspot being at best irreparably crippled, at worst killed (though if I’m being honest it would probably be more accurate to say he’s more on the neutral side of the alignment chart because we never saw him do anything really good or bad), then Supersonic being killed, then Maeve being depowered. A-Train’s likely going next whether that means he’s dying or just leaving Vought.

I think sage is gonna end up being good......right now she's just playing the part and doing what she has to, to ultimately defeat homelander..... She's telling him what he wants to hear to manipulate him and steer him right where she needs too. Homelander definitely flies faster. Canonically, A-train's top speed in the series is 1000mph. When he was racing to hold onto his title, it dropped to 830, but this was back when he was still addicted to V and had a bad heart. He's since gotten a new heart and gotten off the V, so he's probably faster again, though maybe not back to his max speed (as it is implied he achieved that *because* he was doped up...before it started tearing apart his body). Homelander was clocked at 1100mph when he was searching for Translucent. Assuming the writers/directors didn't make errors...A-Train couldn't outrun Homelander even on his best day. Even if he managed to run away...what then? He's still going to have Homelander and the entirety of Vought's resources hunting him. Homelander could go anywhere he is. Also, there's never been any indication that flight fatigues Homelander. Then coupled with the fact that A-train is going to also have to dodge obstacles as he runs while Homelander is also able to just...stay above all of them... There's no good way to spin it for A-Train.

Can A-train outrun homelander? So he can fly who cares, hes never been shown to fly supersonic other then keeping up with jets in the air. Homelander is meant to be evil superman right well superman had Barry Alan (the flash) ability to run really fast as well. A-Train is the Flash or Barry Alan so if superman can run at the same speed as Barry Alan can homelander keep up with A-train
