If homelander would decide to train seriously to amplify his powers he would be unstoppable in his verse, he could literally one punch anyone in his world.
@kingol48017 ай бұрын
Training does not make much of a difference when superpowers are in play. That is just human-centric vision of pseudo-physics. The only thing that matter is the force behind the punch and its application. Training allows one to close a small gap in strength between two even opponents. But if you take world greatest boxer and throw him to fight a silverback gorilla…. He will LOSE. Homelander is already optimized at what he does. He received realistic kind of martial art training from Vought agents (same kind of ex-military or black ops units) and adult supes. He will never be Jacky Chan with mystical martial arts mumbo jumbo. In real life, martial arts won’t save you from a knife. That is just coping and idolizing the extent of an impact of dedication and human will. Likewise, Homelander will not grow in power from lifting or some other nonsense like that. He is built the way he is, optimal at using his finite strength and has adequate militaristic martial art training. That is it.

It's strange, because as repugnant as Homelander is, you can't help but empathise with Homelander at times in the comic and show when you consider the environment in which he was raised. It's also usually the moments where Homelander is most vulnerable and his invincible fascade is lowered that you see the most humanity in Homelander, such as his need to be loved and fear of being abandoned! He really is just a troubled insecure boy in the body of the most powerful man at the end of the day! But due to his narcissism and borderline personality he commits heinous antisocial acts so he does not have to confront his weaknesses!

I also grew up with a little blue blanket as consolation and my parents beating the F out of me as punishment. Dad used to slap me so hard that I immediately peed my pants. Or lock me in the basement in the dark for punishment. I will never do that to my children.

Homelander was born from the Dna of Stormfront( who in comics is a dude). You learned about homelander from where exactly?

Why the hell did you say Kimiko and would be dead from Homelanders heat vision when she is able to repair from damage and dismemberment. You literally picked the only Boys member who could survive his beam.

@@Yyhghhd didn't say it was what the show is about, but it is a major focal point of the show, and one of the main characters. No it is more like saying Fast series needs Dom. Could it keep going sure but wouldn't be the same

? If you are not, then you lost the whole point of the show and devolved into monkey. Homelander is a “bad victim” trope. Similar to Sadako from the Ring. A tortured entity victimized and turned evil. The whole point of the show is that victims should not be stepped over. But yes, it is easy to blame them for being evil, even though it was not even their fault.
