Basically but the real reason is that before you pray you got to make wudu which means that you have to wash your mouth, nose, face, arms, hair& ears, and feet, and if you hug or touch anyone from the opposite gender who isn’t family than you have to redo all those steps, so people try and avoid the contact.

I was in Netherlands I was 20 years old and hungry , didn't eat for a week and was trying to find a job in 2011 , asked for 1 break in dutch bakeries and nobody helped me , the only person that helped was my Muslim neighbor, he saw that I didn't take bags with "shoppings " home and offered me food , next day asked me for a favour , make him a simple website , when I finished he gave me a job , stayed for a year and learned a lot , Muslims were only kind to me in every interaction

The average Muslim is one the kindest most decent person you can meet. I have lived in Canada my whole life with friends and neighbors from all cultures. My Muslim neighbours kicked my door down when our building was on fire. They knew I worked nights and had pets. They got the dogs, and also collected all the family photos they could see. Thankfully, the fire was extinguished. But, I had lived there 2 weeks and worked nights, had maybe said hello to one of them taking the dogs out. I'll never forget that!
