If watch enough of these videos you will normally see them being defensive, dismissive scared, or startled. What you don’t see? Is how many times people have walked past them and yelled vulgarities at them or belittle their efforts. Is how many times people with homes, money, support have stolen their money or items while also belittling them. Is how many times they were brought in to situations where they believe something good was about to happen whether it’s a job, money, food, or clothes only to be met with a group of people that’s going to jump them. Is how many times they have been jumped or assaulted in their sleep. It is RARELY other homeless people that steal from other homeless people and it’s even more rare for a homeless person to viciously assault someone just because they felt entitled too. More often then not, homeless people have the biggest hearts and even with all of their trials and tribulations they often will still help you out if they can. It’s why you often see them give $1 for bus fare or food in those types of videos. Any one of us could be homeless one day because we have a utterly horrible safety net in this country and when you are really financially low or very sick? You’d be surprised at how many friends and family come around to actually help besides the “thoughts & prayers”. When you end up homeless, the system and society are completely against you. You end up either completely ignored or completely hated. It’s like you either have the plague or you’re a known murderer. When in reality? You went from being very successful, having two cars, nice house, paying all your bills, and living the dream to living out of a napsack. Society needs to change.

I totally understand his attitude at first. Most people don’t even look at the homeless, look through them as if they don’t exist, some say horrible things to them and there are others who throw trash, even urine at them! They go through things we’ll never know or understand. My heart goes out to them ❤ I must add that I am angry at officials that are taking better care of illegal innigrants than our own homeless people including very many Veterans.
