Nope, that's so wrong! Most people can go to homeless shelters and stay sober while searching for new job. You can hear from him - everything is hard and everything is difficult! So does that mean you shouldn't try? The key is - they aren't trying, and unfortunately no one can help, unless they are willing to change. Sad!

People don’t realize how hard it is to “get a job” when you’re homeless. No cell phone for a job to contact you, and nowhere to charge it, nowhere to shower or keep your things, no transportation, no sleep etc. I was homeless for a small stretch of time. During that time I spent every day filling out applications at coffee shops and fast food places, but I had no address or phone number to list on an application. I finally got myself a cell phone, and got arrested trying to charge it in an electrical outlet on the outside of a barber shop. The owner came out and demanded I give him my backpack or he was calling the cops. In that backpack was everything I owned. So he called the cops and I was arrested for stealing his electricity. I get it, I don’t want to be the kind of person who takes and takes and begs and asks. But it is so hard out there. It really is. And all it took for me to become homeless was a medical issue I couldn’t afford. I got laid off from my job shortly after, I had spent all my savings on medical bills. I got a job at McDonald’s and was sleeping in my car until it died on me one day. Now what? Couldn’t get to work consistently every day and had nowhere to sleep or shower. It’s so easy to lose absolutely everything. People need to realize that we’re all human beings.

@B Bush I am from Virginia, and was homeless in Virginia but traveled my way down to Alabama. These days I am doing much better, but I wouldn’t have been able to get off the streets by myself. I had help. A friend reached out and lifted me out of my situation, and I am forever grateful. Some people don’t have a friend or a family member to help them off the streets. I was incredibly fortunate.
@shavedparmesanprosciuttoan43174 жыл бұрын
@B Bush well every human being is different, and every homeless human being has a different story. We’re not all drug addicts, we’re not all lazy, and we’re not all bad people, so why would homeless people be any different,? I knew other homeless people when I was homeless who never touched a drug in their life until they became homeless. Because their reality was just too damn hard to cope with. I could have easily turned to drugs myself had I not had a friend help me out. It was miserable being on the streets. It was cold and lonely and I had nothing and no one; truly alone. It’s easy to get drugs when you’re on the streets and so easy to fall into the trap of lifting your mood or making your plight a little less heavy with the help of a substance. I have true compassion for anyone on the streets. It is such a hard situation to get yourself out of alone.

The biggest sin on this planet is selfishness. People get so caught up in the whirlwind of day to day squabbles that Satan has fooled and trapped us into, that we hardly ever take time to care about others. Fun facts of those whom say he is lying and family wouldn't do this. My kids were having a tough time in school, the area we lived we were ready for a change. Enter my older sister, talking about how her new town is great, lots of parks, job opportunities. Was a 25hr car ride away. So we ended our rental lease, signed the kids out of school, and off we went. None of what she said was true, it was a run down country town and because I was ill at the time I didn't do my homework. So after 2 weeks on her couch, my family of 4 rented a hotel. Luckily we were resourceful and got a job back in our original town, lots of flying away and missed a year of the kids growing up. But we got back on our feet and are in a better position. She said she was lonely and wanted more family to move up there. Total disregard for the utter poverty and lack of health care available in the town. Family are like anyone else, and can be ruthless for their own benefit. Maybe this guy is not lying. Maybe the family wanted them to fail. People get jealous all the time.

@@matthewmccarthy2406 well as a homeless person off and on my entire adult life, I gotta disagree with you. I've had more high-school kids and other homeless stop and have a conversation with me, offer help and just take the time to humanize me than adults in middle class cars a "system" or anything of that nature. Theres never going to be a "system" where the bottom is taken care of. Because they can't contribute. Society waiting until a system is in place that's better is a cop out from active responsibility. (Cop out, get it? 🤣) If you need a system outside yourself to handle your money to do those things. You dont really want to do them actively. A proper solution? Look at how they riot, if people did that about the homeless in a positive way the "system" would be forced to act on it. That doesn't happen cause its easier to say nice things than to do them. Especially when you can just go "home" So again, if the least able help out the most on average, thats a reflection of society's lack of understanding of what Community really means. People shouldnt have to self medicate period. the view on hard drugs has seeped into pharmaceuticals, scattering doctors like roaches, and causing the states to stricten the ability to be treated for, especially, mental illness putting millions on millions at risk.. I was homeless in the mid 1980s for a while. It was as a result of stupid impulsive decisions I made as a young man and I could blame nobody but myself. One thing I learned was that nobody cared about you, or were willing to help you get yourself out of that situation. You are truly invisible to the general public. I only had one person I could truly rely on, and that was me. I had no family nearby and people who I thought were my friends ghosted me. To get myself out of homelessness, I asked store owners if they would pay me a few dollars to sweep the sidewalk in front of their stores. I took that money and got a Post Office Box so that I had a fixed address. I went to the Public Library to type up a résumé, and made about 50 copies. I applied for a couple of minimum wage jobs and got working in a fast food place. I lived out of my broken down car for a few more weeks, showering at a truck stop. I made friends with a couple guys at work and moved into their place with my first paycheque. Fast forward a couple months, I had my own place, a road-worthy vehicle and a decent unionized job in a factory. That was a long time ago. I’m looking at retiring soon with my wife in a house that we own outright. One thing I have never forgotten is what it was like being homeless, hungry and cold. Today, when I see a homeless person, I help them by letting them know that I was once where they are now, and that someone does care about them. I talk to them, buy them a sandwich and a bowl of soup, and most importantly listen to them. If more people did this, they would truly see someone much like themselves who is in bad situation. Getting yourself out of there isn’t as easy as some think. Some of them have substance abuse or mental problems that add obstacles to that path which I didn’t have. I just wish people didn’t treat them like they’re vermin; they are human beings and should be treated with dignity.

I agree the homeless shouldn't be treated like vermin but from personal experience i can say that the mentally ill are the ones who make it hard for the homeless. They give all homeless a bad time because everyone assumes the worst when they see someone who is filthy and smelly. The govt is letting the homeless suffer among the mentally ill in the shelters. I was homeless for over a decade in downtown LA and yes, I was a heroin addict. Nobody can judge a man or woman who hasn't walked a mile in their shoes. It's not as easy as some people commenting here make it out to be; to rise above all the BS and slowly but magically get your life together. Sure, it happens for some people but it takes what it takes for others. I'm not here to make excuses for myself or anyone else on the street. I will say that my self esteem and sense of self worth were at 0! That was in large part due to the fact that an overwhelming majority of stable and productive members of society living downtown or visiting went out of their way to be rude, hateful, disrespectful, just straight up mean as f#ck and I could go on and on... It took so long for me to grasp at a little bit of hope that I and others thought I was gonna die out there....but 1 lady who worked on 7th & Fig in the building with the fire & water sculpture out front never gave up on me. She was the 1 consistent part of my life that was positive and she took a chance on me by offering me work at her Russian Orthodox Catholic Church in Silver Lake renovating a womens restroom. That led to more work at the church and then work at her 90+yr old Mother's house on Coastline off of PCH in Malibu. Within 2yrs of this lady trusting and having faith in me I was able to change more than I ever thought possible given my circumstances and long story short I left LA and moved back to the East Coast in 2014 where I'm close to family again. Had this lady given up on me I know for a fact I'd be dead or in prison. I owe her more than I can ever repay. I owe her my life....

Ive been prescribed addictive meds in the past, experienced withdrawal afew times, but instead of going looking for a dealer i just shivered in the bathtub for a week and realized the evil in the drug. this is when i was at 0 self esteem zero motivation. even thru that i knew drugs would only make it worse. its just common sense. Im not trying to talk shit, I've just had a different experience that makes it hard to understand why it would be hard to resist heroin, let alone meth or coke..
@danducati6 жыл бұрын
@@saltmage2435 you shivered in the shower for a week... no daily showers when you are homeless. Plus prescriptions can run out and not be renewed. Then what? H, crack, and coke can be cheap fixes to purposefully get people hooked. No one has even talked about depression, which compounds the problem significantly.

This guy is mature, smart and emphatic. He understands the world in a way beyond his own needs. He knows the bad things that happened to him, weren’t his own fault, but the fault of ignorance and immaturity. People who are afraid to look in the mirror did these things to him. He also knows these people hurt way more then he does. But he’s getting tired. Everyone has his limits. Wish I could help.

The road down to "rabbit hole" = life changing road. You shall gain knowledge, most of the souls from this world will reject even if they also hear , and see it /it is known as rejecting the truth, because of the love for the lies/. - then, after received the missing knowledge, your persecution starts. Now, starts the hardest part: are you WILLING to go through all of these trials, that may and surely come your way? Rejoicing also, for we know, that eternal HOME, in the presence of GOD, awaits us all after all these earthly trials. All earthly aka carnal are sadly corrupted. The ONE TRUE GOD ask us all to worship HIM in SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH. What the world dose = carnal worship. A false worship, only satan can ask and as we all whiteness, he, the false god, satan, do ask it /satanic rituals and blood sacrifices to BAAL. What`s the reasons, none of you reading and studying the BIBLE (KJV)? Are everyone here, also busy building up once lost relationship with ONE TRUE LIVING GOD? We all shall be JUDGED, none will escape it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqXZmqSsm7l1isk The Heaven fill open up only for those, who do the WILL OF GOD: - COMING TO REPENTANCE, - BORNING AGAIN, -KEEPING HIS 10 COMMANDMENTS, - EXPOSING THE EVIL DOERS. Only then we would not be: THE CAST AWAY`S. And no, it is not WORKS, it is: LOVING GOD BACK. And doing so willingly = LOVING GOD BACK SINCERELY . kzbin.info/aero/PLHYOKu9d9bz5Zvi1Rf3Y9q4ipUPxjOgIn A soul took the poison, now sometime later, health decreasing minute by minute. Suddenly, a soul, finding that he and she aint able to do any kind of work (that was the 1st reason the poison shot was taken in the 1st place), still, time is keep on ticking and health decreasing even further. Suddenly there is no vison, no longer the eyes have any use, hearing is still there, therefore the ears are still useful. Yet, days keep passing by and now paralyses have accrued. How so? for i am athlete, it can`t happen to me, and i`m still too young after all. No longer able to move? forever? or it just only that moment? LIFE: lets see..... Time passed again. My heart - it`s beating too fast, like it going to jump out from my chest. LIFE: Oh, yet you still breathing, aren`t you? - yes, i am. Time passed again. Did they recovered? All those who took it? - Life: Depends what you mean by "recovering". Some of them will need medication until DEATH. Some met their DEATH just a moment later, after they received the deadly shot, oh, pardon, i mean these vaccines. Some were cowards or boldness enough to not to take it. For they are still alright. They do not live forever in this realm, that`s true, but at least they are fine, until their time to go back HOME. So, i get it right: SICKNESS AND DEATH still came? - LIFE: yes, these did came, for none can escape it, not one soul. So, then the point of these vaccines? - LIFE: Sadly, these were created to KILL.

@@orezeno2090 WHO not it. If you are not a thing but a being - then why you list GOD , who is living , who give you your existence - why are you listing HIM as a thing? Forgive me my harsh words: but ye sound like you have hidden your head hard - therefore i ask: ye okay? Now answer to your question: HE CARES BECAUSE HE WAS THE ONLY ONE - WHO CREATED ALL THINGS AND BEINGS. and no - HE didn`t created evil . something went wrong with LICIFER and he became the evil aka satan - we all here, living - experience. Why we suddenly experience evil even more? Cause lucifer knows he has but a short time and as he is jealous about GOD and all that GOD created and are able to create, lucifer want it all too - he is like a crying little boy , who wants stuff that never his. Therefore what is lucifer busy with? creating his own kingdom with his own citizens. That`s why ye probably have heard the word: THRANSHUMANISM - what that word means in reality: lucifer creating his own mankind by turning/ changing mankind from clay to mankind form iron aka into machines that lucifer can control. He must change us otherwise the FREE WILL won´t disappeared and those who chose to serve THE ONE TRUE GOD - shall come and come again. The book of revelation - clearly talks about lucifer having his kingdom fully builded for 7 years - then it`s all burned up to be no more and lucifer thrown into the LAKE OF FIRE - where he with all the wicked ones - other fallen angels - unsaved humans and demons shall also be. So, yes THE BIBLE is true and accurate 100%.

For some those are necessities, to others those are privileges. We should always count our blessings. There's a saying that goes.."I seen a man complaining he had no shoes, until he met a man with no feet." We have so much to do in this world to help those in need. We get so caught up in things that don't matter. There are needs all around us. We can do so much to be assistance to others. That's our purpose. If not that what are we even here for?

homless people have their own "mafia" with bosses and all, and they controll all the other homless people around. They take your money if you get some from people, they take your food, your place to stay. The only way to survive is to accept it and be a pawn in this mafia, you do what the bosses tell you, otherwise you are as good as dead.
