We need to provide a campground that has fullbathrooms with showers and bus service to get to services while they wait for housing. We all need to fight for legislation to help protect the homeless. I have done a little of outreach when I can. I am terminally ill and if I didn't have family I could be homeless too.

J & J Automotive & Towing out of Spanaway sold the car I lived in before I could get out of jail. It was OBVIOUS I lived in it. I had $20 G’s of high end tools & gear with me. Every phone I ever owned with me. My wallet. Everything! Those MF’s helped themselves to my car & everything that was important to me. I will take from them like they did me. Its a well done advertisement and propaganda 😝 even though there s some truth to it.. it only partial truth. There are lots of problems regarding housing in finland. Even if u managed to clean most out of helsinki s streets........ There s more to the story. Too much to go through in this comment section obviously 😅 however i guess the point being, never think a documentary is telling u the whole truth. Its just the point of view the doc maker wants u to see.

It’s hard to ‘cater to’ homeless folks when we’re all feeling the crunch here in Canada. Gas, housing, food etc are all inflated like crazy. Tax money is coming from regular people and has to also pay for schools, health care, roads etc etc. That’s not to say people aren’t in need! But we all expect a lot from these tax dollars. I do feel for this lady, I’m sure she’s had a rough life. You also have to expect that there will be consequences to any actions you make. Hopefully they can stay clean and get a job and feel useful and human again.

Grocery prices are obscene. I guess that's why the major food corporations have been making record profits. The shareholders are happy.. Apartment buildings and houses have been bought up by investors. They collectively keep the costs of properties and rentals high. No more homes for people, Investments.. When did we stop callig them apartments? When you're looking for a place to llve you will be shown a unit. When you can no longer afford your place you must vacate the unit Federal minimum wage is still 7.25 an hour. There are people who actually get paid that little.

What Finland did was a wonderful thing. There's just a tiny little snag: you're more or less 9 million, USA is 340 million. Big countries become impossible to rule, even if they are split into states. And then there are countries like mine, Portugal, higly corrupt,.. nope, Finland is from another planet.

Sickening. What about all the people left homeless due to natural disasters, fires, sickness, high rents, job losses??????? Start building affordable homes for these people so they're not on the streets. All those people for making the poorest of the poor feel like they have no place in society because they live in a tent, don't worry, with all the disasters that's happening in America, your day will come too and you'll be treated in the same manner that you thought was fine for the homeless people.

I have a homeless girl here. She's dropping her 10th. No hospital. I swear a bell goes off at CPS they immediately take the kid. She calls them her presants to give away. If I dropped out kids like that and CPS immediately showed up, I'd give up and enjoy the luxury of a hospital and FDA approved drugs . Funny how everyone thinks low income people use abortion as birth control. Abortions cost money. Low income girls can't afford them. Yhe nassive dtug coctails these babies are born with have got to cause them a lifetime of struggle. Poor and homeless don't matter to this country. Now migrants they are important. Trump wants them deported but he's a tight wad. Doing that one thing is gona cost way more than his astronomical debt he saddled the US with his last Presidency. Trying to visualize cheeper anything. Gonna be way more homeless for sure. Rounding up migrants will do nothing for homeless people.

Very unlikely. To get into this program you practically have to live on the street, and with winter temperatures that means you are risking your life. It is way easier to abuse the 'normal' benefits. If you are unenployed, you get around 300€ for your 500€ rent. Then you get roughly 600€ for living. That leaves you 400€ for a month which covers electricity and water and some 10€ for food per day. You willl be able to pay your rent and survive at a minimum level. If you are happy with that, you can try to avoid work that you technically have to apply for but can make your applications so bad that never get chosen. For this reason, it is likely that any possible abuse would take place within the normal system, and those living on the street have a real problem with drinking, drugs, gambling or all of the above, fail to pay their rent and get kicked out of their apartment, making their situation much worse.
