Homeless Man Suffered Burns After His Tent Was Set On Fire

We met Sam in Bethnal Green sitting by the entrance of Sainsbury's Local. We saw some friendly passers by giving him money and food with big smiles on their faces which was nice to see.
Sam told us how severely the Lockdown effected him to the point that he lost his job and his marriage broke down resulting in him becoming Homeless. He said that the other Homeless people often bully those new on the streets. Some people even set his tent on fire at night whilst he was sleeping in it resulting in Sam burning his hand.
The main message we got from Sam is that if people were to come together and help each other and support eachother then homelessness would end.

Homelessness is a growing issue for the UK with more than 300,000 people living on the streets. Many of these people don't even make it onto the official figures.
The Unseen is an organisation we set up to give Homeless people a platform to have their stories and their struggles heard. We also want everyday people to have an opportunity to understand what leads a person into being Homeless. We at the The Unseen believe that everybody has a responsibility to help the unfortunate.
We want employers and regular people to support the homeless towards getting back into work and off the streets.
We hope their stories can touch the hearts of many.

Spread love out in the world..not hatred of any kind..always be respective of others..People don't come to poverty on there own..there's difficulties and problems others don't know about and exist..Help those in need and less fortunate then you..God will bless you double fold and more..Blessings to you beyond what you will ever know..

What a lovely message he sends peace and love, wouldn't the world be so much nicer if this was practiced, these people don't ask for much, just some kindness and understanding, he's so right when he says there is a story behind every homless person, the Unseen are giving them a chance to tell there story, surly a lot more of us can do the same, these are human beings, who hurt like the rest of us, please help them.

I am really sorry for all peoples end up on the streets. I always complaints about my life all the time. But waching this video I just realised I am so lucky with another people's out there. I grew up where you get peoples stories. I’ve never done nearly as good of a job of that as you did but before the virus most people I talked to that were on the streets & appeared to not be deranged addicts were people who moved westward for work. Some even working just not able to find housing as well.

Why do homeless people want people to stop and chat with them 🤣🤣people are busy running around trying not to be in their position. Remember outside mental health issues, most people create their own problems and he's wrong always plan for the future and be selfish a bit bc tomorrow you might need the money, time and energy that you give to others. If you practice love and take of yourself than it absolutely no way you would be homeless. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Never say never mate. Don't be ignorant. Lack of money is not the only reason people become homeless. Sometimes it may be someone close to you dying and it effects you mentally. Just be grateful it's not you.
