He seems like a sweetheart. Makes me sad. Wish I had 20 acres and could build each one a tiny home and I could be ALL their Mamas :) a society is defined by the way they treat those less fortunate the poor the handicapped and disabled and children and we are doing a really crappy job in our own country and are sending millions and Aid to other countries when we have people that need desperately need help here, it's sickening to my heart and hurts me to my soul. Just took in a friend of mine and I'm going to help her until she's able to get on her own two feet and if that day never comes that's fine too because I love her.

My Biggest Fear is ending up Homeless. Who says he's an actor? (I got to the credits later in this video. He's really only reenacting what homeless people go through every day!)There's a group of homeless men where I live and I feel Bad for Everyone of them. I help where I can with food. We just got a story on the local news that another homeless man was found deceased in the bushes. They die alone. So sad! I would NEVER demean them by screaming" get a job!" Stupid a*&holes who say that need to shut the hell up! I almost hope they end up homeless and afraid! These Are People not mangy mutts! Have a heart, help where you can.

He might not be the orginal man who said this, but he makes you care and it takes this to make you feel for the homeless. You don't need to become homeless to feel for the homeless, you just need to have a heart, some compassion for your fellow man/woman/child!!! You can think of it this way too...Karma is a real BITCH and you might be homeless someday and no one will lend you a helping hand.
@talaveraman32228 жыл бұрын
What makes you feel for the homeless is becoming homeless.
This man has a gentle soul and his homelessness has made him slightly alien in his behaviour. When you don't have conversations with other people for a long time and you dwell in your own thoughts and feelings in difficult conditions, cold, hungry, insecure about your next meal, that's changing a human being into an animalistic state. It's visible in this young man, he's like a wild creature shunning from his fellow human beings who may hurt and shun him like as if he's a danger to them. He shows pure survival mode and this is so confrontational to those living in comfort and security, that they avoid connecting with him. He deserves being taken in by a community or commune and offered a chance to grow food, plant shit.

this made me cry. I've been so close to being homeless, but I was fortunate to have someone who cared enough to take me in and I had the odacity to say I hate them. my mom lives in her own and I can't live with her anymore because it would cost too much for her. It brought TEARS flowing down. I'v been homeless myself before. I HAD to leave my abusive home at Only 16 years old, ( If I hadn't , suicide was an option). No phone, no address, It's difficult to get a job. I had a chance if I could talk with the manager face to face rather than just filling out the application and Not get to meet the manager. And nowadays, in order to apply for a job, you have to have internet access. Makes it nearly IMPOSSIBLE to meet with a manager, IMPOSSIBLE to get a job. COMPASSION is the way to our future... LUCKILY a compassionate person let me use Their address and answering machine and let me take showers to get my house cleaning business started. I made enough money to rent a room and support myself. That was back in the 1970s and 80s . We All have something to give IF given a CHANCE. PEACE AND MERCY TO ALL BEINGS!

You know it's hard to find homeless people that still have hope and faith. Life on your own is hard and sometimes people are moving too fast to consider a situation someone else is in at that moment. And some people are hurtful and feel as though you are less than a human because of your social, mental or physical composition. But I am ecstatic that not only does this man have faith, but he has diligence and enough dignity and courage to say what he feels through a lens that he possibly hoped with reach millions. This brings me hope and prayer to know that there are people in the world that are down on there luck, but they won't give up.

I pick up a guy at a truck stop in Franklin Tenn. he road with me to Tuscaloosa where I had to get off of the interstate, He said he was an alcoholic and I ask him how did he make a living, he told me with a cardboard sign, he also told me if he made twenty dollars a day, that he could make it off of that, ciggs and beer is all he needed, he has family in Alabama, he was headed for Austin Tx. The wouldn't sell him beer nor ciggs in Tenn. so I stop and got him a couple of 24oz and he was good. I feel most of the people on the streets have family that are tired of tolerating their addiction, and can't find anyone that will. It's sad I know, they have a problem and don't want to give it up no matter if they lose family or not. There are many kinds of addictions, we could all be there with just one wrong turn. I feel things are getting more and more sinister with each passing day. Y'all research the flat earth if you really want a wake up call. The time is at hand !!!

When I was homeless I placed two layers of tarp over a picnic table, a blanket in between, took that and hid it away where cops wouldn't see, mats beneath. Whatever makes it more comfortable and adds to durability and protection. Knock out the stubs on the underside to make space. It will be just enough to fit and sleep. Get blankets where you can and continue to add what you ate able. Then, get a government phone and EBT card, use the local food banks as needed. Aluminum cans can be used to make small fire pits for cooking, but not raw meats. Only precooked items. Get these things in place and fight back. Saw me through years in the elements, and I made it. My advice. Namasté.

What people dont understand is most people who are homeless have mental health issues or substance abuse issues. Instead of looking down on these people. Why doesn't our community help to put these people's lives back together! Ive heard people say look at them trash in the street. We are so quick to judge one another until we ourselves go through it. Actor or not we are all humans. Sometimes we just need that little push to understand it's gonna be ok, you have the strength to keep going and to do better for yourself!

I don't know if he's an actor or not. But his story is very real. For all of those who say he's too clean, I was homeless 2 years ago and managed to stay clean. Many people at the Emergency Cold Shelter where I stayed, thought I worked there. Some even said, I didn't belong there. Yet, I was homeless by circumstances beyond my control. I will give any homeless person my change without being asked. I talk to them. Each one has a story and all are not druggies/alcoholics. People do treat you differently. The truth is most people live paycheck to paycheck, and could be homeless at any time. I wouldn't wish it for my worst enemy.

Whats happened to humanity love thy neighbor like you love yourself. Where I live in Australia there's really no homeless people. But I have helped out standing in the check out. This woman had all this change with her daughter. They couldn't afford bananas so I hand a $50 note to the lady the the check out lady handed it to me. I said no give her the change back. I've done other nice things but im no one special I just want to help. There is nothing wrong then helping someone. God is watching an he knows your heart. It may be an acting role, but the reality of the thoughts of a homeless man are the same. They sometimes have trouble communicating it, from living street hard, or having depression or illness, but there is truth in their fears of the challenges survival each day. There is a yearning desire to be somewhere safe, to be living better, more independently and to be treated with some sort of human compassion. It is a human necessity to be needed, wanted, appreciated and have purpose and self worth. Without it the spirit and will of any person can be vulnerable and lost.

You never know who is hungry..Some times I give my last because giving your last God sees that you are your brother's keeper so, that's something really and truly to think about because you do unto others as they do unto you and also keep in mind you reap what you sow, so it's not good to make fun of people like that always give your heart and share what you have, and your reward is so much greater, I promise you...God don't lie, he's faithful.

There used to be a time,not to long ago, before we had nothing, families lived in one house or on the same street, sisters,brothers,cousins and friends played in the same house or out in the street's, we fought ,cried fought with one another and made up , without a care in the world,we only got gifts on Christmas, with great anticipation ,when delayed gratification made us all appreciate the small things, we cared for our elderly at home until they passed, we had some aunty always there for us as an additional mother and granny that give us extra sweets, the raucous uncle or aunt that was the life of the party when they came by, we took care of our own handicapped relatives that was part of our own identity, and now, came reality tv and indoctrination of how to succeed ,how much we should have ,the more the better, the more we moved,got involved in the lonely cities,no time to see the elderly, and now we only see our relatives when there is a funeral or a wedding,despite facebook ,twitter ,and our phones touch tone away,we are even more lonelier than we ever been ,what went wrong, is that the price of progress was to high, when we become old,it might be worst.

The only person that can ever get the homeless out of their situation is them (for the most part). The only way to get real lasting change is to change the thoughts...

I don't give homeless money just because I don't know if they really are homeless or if they are drug/drink addicts. One time I was in my university building I saw a homeless women begging for money and soon later she pulled out her iphone or some sort of really smart phone. Like seriously? If your homeless how would you even charge such a thing and wouldn't you sell it? And she even started putting the money in her purse when no one was looking.

The year 2015 spring I lost everything I lost my apartment, I got evicted from my place. My car got repo, because I wasn’t making any payments I was working at a gas station but I was chasing a dream so I quite my job. I didn’t have no money or noting save up, I had no rich family members to help me.. so I end up homeless I move to someone house down south but they kick me out they place because they stole from our job. So I got fire, funny thing is the same person who fire me call me later on down the line and ask if I wanted my job back but it was way to late.. but back to the story I end up sleeping at a Grey hound station and I had to leave a lot of my clothes behind.. I smell bad like old sweat and dirt I look bad, I wasn’t eating food I ate when I can but it wasn’t the best food to eat. My clothes was dirty and I slept on Grey hound station floors.. i detox my body too I shave all my hairs off my body and head and throw away all my old dirty clothing. I had to shower for a hour to get the smell off me. Fast forward I end up getting a job at McDonald’s and a car wash and fast forward again I end up getting my real estate license and now I’m a sales broker also. I have my own place now and making good money now, I have a new car and a good career. I end up gaining 55 pounds by eating well and hitting the gym also, I have a lot of new clothing and underwear.. I shower twice a day and get haircuts every week and wear very good cologne. Went from wearing rags to wearing name brand clothing and suits to work. When people look at me you wouldn’t know I use to live on the streets. I am very grateful and thankful now And being homeless made me humble and very strong.
