Unsheltered street homeless are fentanyl addicts nowadays, and fentanyl destroys humans mentally and physically beyond the point of repair very quickly. Actually, fentanyl pills called blues/M30/Fetty contain fentanyl, rat poison, benzo, horse tranquilizer aka Tranq, ISO, nitazene chemicals, and other extremely destructive synthetic chemicals. Street homeless encampments are nothing else but lawless open air fentanyl markets. How do they support their fentanyl addiction? By boosting which is stealing items from stores that they can quickly sell for fentanyl pills. Police does not enforce any laws on street homeless unless they first spill blood. Street encampments bring fires, theft, break-ins, prostitution, open drugs use. They gradually destroy everything around themselves. Where I live, street homeless break int unoccupied houses and destroy them by pulling wall wires out and cutting metal pipes just to sell for fentanyl. They smoke fentanyl all day long, one after another. They will destroy any housing we put them in because they are not capable of living in organized manner.

@@lrfisher2002lot of homeless ppl is at fault. They're drug addicts, alcoholics, lazy & some are criminals. The solution is in them to change for the better. During the pandemic, I saw families lose their jobs & homes in the news but in their tv interviews they were pretty well off & had high paying jobs before but was already in trouble or out of a house after only a few months. I wondered didn't they have enough savings, why did they run out of money so fast? My husband & I were able to weather the pandemic with our modestly paying jobs & we still have our home. But like you said, we live within our means.

@@sarbantz I agree to a point. Not all people that are recently becoming homeless are drug addicts. The area i live, one bedroom 700sqft apartment is going for $1600 a month, the average pay here is $15-16 an hour, so think about if you have a kid or kids. People are literally moving in basements of family members or spare rooms just to make it, last resort....homeless, sleeping in cars. Alot of people are being forced into uncomfortable situations cause of the greed of land lords and apartment complexes taking advantage.

Homelessness in Broward has always been bad. The pandemic made it worse. Explain how can a family of 4 pay for adequate housing if one only makes $15 per hour and rent on a bed is $2000+? How will they eat? Pay for health insurance whether it's thru your employer or not? Pay for transportation, daily necessities, credit card payments???

Street homeless encampments are nothing else but lawless open air fentanyl markets. How do they support their fentanyl addiction? By boosting which is stealing items from stores that they can quickly sell for fentanyl pills. Police does not enforce any laws on street homeless unless they first spill blood. Street encampments bring fires, theft, break-ins, prostitution, open drugs use. They gradually destroy everything around themselves. Where I live, street homeless break int unoccupied houses and destroy them by pulling wall wires out and cutting metal pipes just to sell for fentanyl. It is very easy to get rid of homeless drug addicts. In neighborhoods that would be embarrassed by homeless drug addicts and excrement on the sidewalks, that would lose money if the tourists felt uncomfortable, the deputies just approach the homeless drug addict and say they small drugs or they got a report of someone with drugs. Then the addict gets agitated or even not, and the deputy arrests the addict and puts them in jail. They make a deal to be released with a court date, the deal includes no drugs or alcohol. The addict then does drugs or alcohol, the deputy says the addict is acting like under influence, takes the addict back to jail. Same over again. Until the addict moves.

So for some reason the addicts crowd into "safe havens" for their using. And they get free food and needles. Deputies drive by but do not arrest anyone. Thus, the addicts stay there. So, it is law enforcement to blame. In my area, in okaloosa county, there are areas where addicts are homeless, but the deputies let them stay there and do drugs there. But if they were to move to a nicer neighborhood, they would be harassed until they went back to the allowed drug area. I think the deputies let the homeless addicts stay in certain areas because these people do not make money for the jail or court systems. If, the deputies target a one step up person, that still has a home, car, job, children that are desirable to adopt out; then these next step up people have things to lose so they feed money into the court and jail system. This is why the law and courts allow total loser addicts with no hope to just live on the street and use drugs. Because they can make no money for attorneys, counselors, probation officers. They are a total cost to the system. The system only wants to harass people who have money to feed into court and jail systems. The jail stores make a killing. A homeless drug addict with no hope or feeding money to system is of no use to system, they just let them be vagrant until they die off.

I never see that. Sounds like 80s propaganda to demonize the lower classes. You do know you can get smart phones cheap now, right? Like there's plans for $35 a month, that come with new phones. They aren't some status symbol. It's also almost impossible to get help either. I have family that are struggling, with kids, making min wage, and they don't qualify. You need to have nothing to get benefits. They even count your car as "wealth" even if it was a gift.

That's a farce I'm thinking at this point. They keep selling to house flippers, foreigners, and companies. That's not good for regular people trying to get by. We have stagnant wages too. Min wage would need to be $25 an hr to have the same standard of living from the 70s! Another thing not discussed is the aging population too. They are living long and staying in their homes longer... Some are even upgrading!!! How? Selling their house for 5x what they paid, to build a mega dream house at 50+. It's ridiculous. If anything, that's the age you should downgrade. My whole neighborhood is full of new builds, but no younger families! Just older people! I predict all that building will double screw us later when they pass away because it'll be a surplus of homes in many areas, since we aren't having babies as much. If it's just a shortage, where's the initiative to create new cities or revitalize old ones?! Why keep trying to cram everyone in the same areas? I'm in a rust belt area that's seen a population boost, where they are destroying the scenery everywhere, displacing people that can't afford it anymore, but places like Detroit sit 75% empty. There's no reason for it. Google, or any tech company, could've easily moved in and made a difference where it mattered -- but nooooo, they just had to cram in places that were already stable with population. People move where jobs are. Put the good jobs where houses will fit and it doesn't push out the old residents. Problem solved.
