Love your design, very cleaver, i like the paint table idea too- will defiantly use some of your great ides. Thanks for sharing them.

Not convinced the exhaust fan would be strong enough to get good ventilation. However I do like the overall construction and the fact you put lights in it!
@sexygirlove206 жыл бұрын
plenty strong enough.... if not i would have put another fan on the left

Consider using a furnace filter in addition to the cloth to help with catching the paint fume particles. Consider either using two fans one at each side or a larger fan pull rate in the middle of the base area. Definitely use an additional venting tubing to capture the fumes and over spray to get pulled away from breathing and keep the spray contained.

Nice design it looks great but I’m doubtful the air flows efficiently through the holes and out the back. I’d bet you get a lot of particles back towards you while you’re spraying

I would guess the thumbs have nothing to do with this neat build or your voice and more to do with the mind set of trolls or the plain envious. Like the one idiot out of a hundred that slags down an item that the other 99 other reviewers love. It's a well designed and nicely made spray booth that will no doubt give years of service. Great job and a lot of watchers out there will no doubt agree.

I love the design and the great lighting you have fitted one suggestion I'd fit another fan or a suction pipe under the holes to create a bit more pull on the suction but great build overall you will get trolls and keyboard warriors on here just take it with a pinch of salt new subscriber now thanks

hello.... i use a filter before the fan because i do not want paint on the fan blades and i dont want paint being blown around my garage.... i have two very nice jaguar cars and when they are in the garage i dont want paint dust on them..... also keeps my lungs cleaner.... thanks peter

Quite nice! Much nicer than alot of these others on here my only concern is the size of the fan! How many cfm's? The box being extremely tight does help min air loss, so all in all very nice. In my oppinion its the nicest i have seen thus far!!!

Very well done. My only comment is that it's fine for water-based paining, but not for solvent paints. having the electrical connections in the air flow is poor form.

That's a great job mate. I'm just mocking one up in my garage now which I shall use to paint 1/10 lexan rc car bodies. I use mainly rattle cans and the over spray puts a dry film of dust on everything in the garage! My question is why use a filter on the fan? Cheers, Chris.

I have watched many home made booths here. So tell us how do you like your booth? How is the venting at the back and bottom working out the way you have designed it while airbrushing? How well does it suck up the fumes ans spray? Does the cloth (J cloth) work as a good filter? I haven't decided on my fan being at the bottom or the back wall . Thanks!
@sexygirlove207 жыл бұрын
i last used it a couple of weeks ago ... used red paint... painted brake parts for my jag and there was not much paint on the fan blades.... sothe cloth worked well....when i use it the air is drawn down by the fan and i do not smell any fumes... i change the filter after every time i use it.... glad you liked it......... peter

So, you've had this for 2 years now.....how's it working? I understand some fans can't be used due to the flammability of the paint vapours and any electrical spark that may be present in the fan. Have you had any issues? Thanks...looking to build one as well.
@sexygirlove206 жыл бұрын
hello..... the fan is brushless.... no spark... also i use NON oil paint... i use..... mig ak tamaya... when i spray i vent the tube out the back of the garage...... filters are kitchen wipes and i change them every time i spray

Nawh, you have a good voice for tutorials, clear speaking good tone and sound, so it's definitely not that (don't know what is though, but don't worry it's the internet people are assholes) Really, the only thing I can really think of (and that is nitpicking) is that your not actually showing how to connect the tube and to what, but that hardly makes any sense either as everyone else shows that in their vids. In any case, nice clean design and set up you have there. I'd like to build one myself like that.
@wienerdogracing59805 жыл бұрын
Lots of room, which I like, but you don’t give any indication about how well it works and it appears it has never been used. I would have liked to see you put a steaming cup of tea or lit cigarette or something in it so we can see the airflow being pulled through it. A painting demo would be nice also, then show the dirty filter afterwards. I like the physical design, the size, the turntable, but am skeptical of that little fan having enough effect.

Hmmmm. Don't really like my items rolling off the paint Suzanne. What lighting did you use and how was it installed and wired ? A ball bearing lazy Suzanne really would make life a lot smoother. Not sure I would depend on "paper towel" for a filter. Perhaps I am

where would the spark come from... its ac... no brushes to spark... do you know anything about ac / dc..... ITS A LONG WAY TO THE SHOP.... IF YOU WANT A CHICO ROLL
@airbrushken53396 жыл бұрын
so the electric motors don't have brushes? I had a breeze box fan in a friends garage and I was airbrushing his tanks, guards and tank ... he had the fan set right by me and I saw it catch on fire. Pulled the plug and tossed it out the door. I was using a Paasche VL #3 fluid nozzle and an Iwata HPC with a 0.3mm fluid nozzle when it happened. An electrician (this was in the USA) said it was because the fan motor produced a spark.I do know the difference between AC and DC even if you only want to rock and roll. I'll be hones I never tore apart any of my computer fans..... I just wired a twelve volt DC Sparmax Compressor for a makeup artist at fox studio, Sydney Australia. That's a DC motor and it does have brushes! All the spray booth systems I've seen over the past 50 years use spark proof fan systems, that's why I asked. I didn't know you were an electrical engineer ... my bad.
