Awesome synth! Sounds great, I love the design and the concept! I wish I could make one 😀🤙

Funky! An additional 12-tone pitch scaling function combined with a glide function would make it easier to end on the right pitches. On the other side the organic sound comes from the adventures sliding so make sure it can still be switched off! 🙂

A quick search USA has Spark Fun selling a Half Meter long strip for $24.00. OOH I'm hip to getting one for my Arp. I play with very good intonation on a e-bow-steel-guitar. Sorta slide meets theremin. Assuming the soft pot is linear the "notes" would be the same for the 1-volt per octave synth standard.

This is really neat. Put a few of the 'performance' control switches/knobs on the top or the rear side of the unit for thumb use as 1:23 was hand gymnastics, or maybe put duplicates.

Way cool! I’d love to try it some time.

amazing stuff you make!you have potential!

Thanks, thats very encouraging!

Ya beyond potential man you make amazing stuff and extremely unique/creative. You could sell a TON of these I think as well as your diy synths

I personally know so many people who would buy stuff(multi instrumentalist/producer and studio musician that does live stuff as well in LA. Work with a wide variety of Artists in multiple way I’d spread the word If you made a product without a doubt.

I totally love this! Bravo! I might suggest a bigger model with a much longer neck, and an option to quantize the note to a scale...
@AlbertNystrom3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah, a longer neck would be better, but longer soft-pots were really hard find where I live :( And scince it's completely analog I don't think there is a easy way. quantize the notes. I guess I'll just have to practice my intonation more 🤷♂️

Great for microtonal
@AlbertNystrom2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, if you play out of tune you can always say you just play microtonal ;)

@@AlbertNystrom No but really I think with good muscle memory you could play in 31ED2

Will you publish the plans?

Unfortunately I haven't documented the process very well, but it's basically a few different synth modules wired together. The VCOs, VCF and powersupply are mostly based on Mortiz Kleins designs. The Envelope is kind of based on LMNC design and the LFO is based on Skullandcircuits LFO1. I wired all those together with some exra functions, features and two soft-pots to control the pitch of the VCOs. Hope that helps in some way!

Man all these things you make would be such rad products! Also even kits would be rad so you didn’t have to make them all, any chance on getting schematic links for this or any or the synths you do?
@BenCoeMusic3 жыл бұрын
Super cool! Is it based on arduino or anything or just analog components? Either way, sounds and looks awesome!
@AlbertNystrom3 жыл бұрын
It's completely analog. Basicly only made with op-amps, resistors, capacitors and transistors!

Hey! I tried something like this with a teensy board, but the readings from the fingerboard were so noisy, it never produced a good sound. It just warbled around the note I was trying to make. Did you do something special here, or was I just doing something wrong?
@AlbertNystrom2 жыл бұрын
No, I didn´t do anything special. The ribbons are just simple voltage dividers. But everything is completely analog, I can imagine it can be a bit noisy in a digital circuit.

Your answer to pitch intonation is in technique: vibrato

so when are you going to show how to......build.......in sections maybe to start?
