Ingredients
Urad dal. 1cup
Baking soda. 3/4 tspn
salt. 1tspn
water. as required
gingelly oil. 3 tbdpn
Maida / all purpose flour 2 tbspn
Preparation method
👉Take urad dal n make a fine powder
👉Add baking soda and salt
👉Seive the powder to make sure there are too fine
👉Add gingelly oil
👉Now add water gradually n make a thick dough
👉Allow it to rest for abt 5 - 10 mins
👉After 10 mins if needed add 2 tspn of water n 1 tbsp of gingelly oil
👉knead the dough for abt 10 - 15 mins to make the Appalam dough soft
👉Now divide into 8 parts
👉Now dust some Maida /all purpose flour n make thin chappathi
👉Place a sharp edge , or cut the Appalams to the desire shape
👉Now dry the Appalams in sun for abt 10 - 15 mins.
👉Or u can also dry them under fan overnight n dry them in the balcony next day for abt 10 mins
👉Now u can store them for 3 months n more
