Homemade bicycle tank number 4 (FP4)

Today again something from the past, my homemade FP4 (Fahrrad-Panzer 4 = bicycle tank 4) from 2009.
Like the name implies, a peddle powered vehicle that tries to be a tank. Equipped with four 26 inch wheels. ... But I consider that one to be a failure, well make your own opinion on that.

I would love to rebuild this and use as a recon or a conventional vehicle by adding a small Radio and a small box on the back side for storing repair equipment,water and etc.

🤔Indeed this would be quit useful/fun as reconnaissance vehicle. You can scout behind enemy lines while at the same time the airsoft BBs can’t hit you.😂

If you are not capable of building it on your own yet, you have to build it with your Grandpa together then. Spending time together, learning some skills and doing the sit sample. Also being the one who explains what needs to be done. …/… Or just leave the green paint and the “turret” away, so it becomes a civil convertible and modify it later on your own.

If you put 2 1500w rear hub motors on with a Sabvoton controller you could do 80kph easy.

Street legal, mmmm it’s practically a bicycle?! … But even a bicycle needs two brakes, a front- & a tail-light, and some reflectors?! … Well I got at least one brake. So I guess it’s not that street legal. But for the street its way to slow, with its gear ratio of 1:1.

Does it drive well without differential? You probably cant do very tight turns or is there some trick that works as a differential?

Actually there is some kind of a differential. The two back wheels are simple single speed wheels. Each with a “back pedal brake” which I removed, but the “free running” is still operational. And both are powered by separate chains from the front crank. So they free to go.
