HOMEMADE Cavitation Plate on 14' Skiff | Performance Video 20hp Mercury Outboard

Dylan custom made a cavitation plate for his 20hp mercury. The performance difference was amazing, the cavitation plate helped with planing and with high speed turning. The next plate we will build out of fiberglass and will possibly sell some online!

It was actually a custom mold! We added the floors and a front deck plus some keel work and then fresh paint all over

wouldn't this be considered an 'ANTI cavitation plate'? it attempts to prevent it? seems like you might still be a tad too high. look at your slow-motion video, you can see the marks in the water from the prop, which means it's still pulling air down into the prop. Maybe drop your engine down a couple of inches? my boat came with one almost just like yours. it eliminated the torque tab/anode, which has caused issues, so i'm going to alter it so the torque tab can be used again.
