Homemade DIY BEACH SHADE CANOPY LARGE (How To Setup & Make Cordless Windproof Beach Tent Sun Shade

This large beach shade design does not need a sandbag and cord in front to hold it up.
▼ WHERE TO BUY PARTS:
▶ Tent Poles - 25 feet in length (These are large diameter and strong. 25ft is needed for 2 beach blankets. Leave out 3 sections to make it 20ft if only using 1 beach blanket for a smaller shade) - amzn.to/3sp8VPf
▶ Fabric (microfiber beach blanket works great and is quieter than Silpoly rip-stop fabric) - amzn.to/3oQ35s7

▶ 2 beach umbrella lower poles (harvested from old/broken beach umbrellas. They get thrown away all the time at the beach)
▶ Sand Gopher (Sand digger tool for beach umbrella hole) - amzn.to/3NlfRIu
Using an 11ft by 9ft beach blanket provides up to 100 square feet of shade. To hold it in the sand, I used 2 beach umbrella lower poles from beach umbrellas that were being thrown away. Other types of poles like PVC can be used. The arch poles are 20ft of heavy-duty aluminum tent poles, although fiberglass tent poles could also work. The aluminum tent poles are stronger, stiffer and corrosion-resistant. The leading edge pocket pass-through for the tent pole was made using strong double-sided fabric tape, so no sewing was necessary.

when you say 70% for the length, is that of the 20 ft you will use, or 705 of the whole 25 ft length?

I know this is relevant but it might be for your older videos, would you get the pulsar pro,srb400 or, the srb1200 based off of how fast and hard they shoot

Any concern that the beach blanket doesn’t provide enough uv protection. They are pretty thin and while it provides shade, I suspect the sun still does some damage through the blanket material

@@JasonLourenco These beach blankets are made of polyester, which depending on the weave is one of the best UV blockers. It's what all the sun shirts use. We've used this all day on the beach without aany issues. Use 2 layers if you're concerned.

I wonder if the 96x85 version of the beach blanket would be too small. I bought the 128x129 and it seems huge in person but it seems fine in this video. Its hard for me to really tell the scale

The beach blanket has tie out loops at the corners. Use string and the bag that came with it as a sandbag to tie out the corners.
