Hello everyone
Homemade stainless steel exhaust muffler.
Dimensions
- muffler case 350mm x 130mm x 150mm
- outlet pipe 2 x 60mm
- inlet pipe 53mm
- perforated tube 42mm
- ceramic wool
I made this muffler for Seat Ibiza 1.9 Diesel.

on atmosferic diesel its not abble... on TD make combo resonator and carbon reducer muff... on my 1,6TD on golf I with end before rear axle its perfect...

Yes, it can be used, but there is no need because the tape is there to hold the material until it is inserted into the muffler and nothing more.

Perforated tube should be the same diameter as the outlets. also 48mm is under size as 60mm 2" and 2.5" is standard.

Oem exhaust pipe on my car is 50mm and inlet pipe on new muffler is 53. Perforated tubes are 2x42 and outlet pipe and perforated tube don't need to be the same diameter.

Stainelss steel wire instead of masking tape?

You can also use that, I personally prefer this way, simpler, because the tape serves to hold the package until it is inserted into the muffler and nothing more.
