Finally finished the most time-consuming homemade so far. Initially, I thought about gaining experience in the manufacture of such things on a lathe. But already in the process, a school milling machine NGF-110 appeared in the workshop and VFG was installed on its trunk. Therefore, I gained experience not only on turning, but also on milling, along the way I repair both machines and purchase all kinds of equipment.
The lunette itself is made of a rather thin plate 16mm thick, but it proved to be excellent in work. For such a not rigid machine, it turned out to be enough. If necessary, you can also use hard "patch" of non-ferrous metal instead of bearings, but so far this is not required and did not begin to make them.
The result was a set of simple jobs, such as turning on a lathe, milling, welding and hot burnishing of steel. For the latter, it is not necessary to heat the part to red, as in hardening. But the effect greatly depends on the oil used. The paint was applied with a hammer effect, it fits well without a primer with a brush and subsequently allows you to touch up damaged areas on the surface of the part.
